@AffyAvo @7CupsCommunity @KrinkTheMellowUnicorn All these things we've seen breaking didn't break by themselves. There is certainly some level of intention. However, the disconnect between developers and the community goes way back. Even when we had a Head of Product he often seemed to struggle with this issue. It always seemed to me there was not the will to resolve it.

@RarelyCharlie
I have noticed that when I make my post I am not subscribed to it anymore either.
@HopieRemi Yes, instead of fixing it someone has made more extensive changes and broken more things. Disappointing.

Now the forums are not notifying me when I am Tagged or when there is a new post in my subscription!
@RarelyCharlie - Hi, I don't know how recent this thread was, but I haven't been on the staff at 7c for a number of years now.
(I still volunteer as a listener. Nice to hear from you!)
@7CupsCommunity I find it odd that with all the changes recently the featured thread is for Sanskrit Day.
Threads like that used to be in Around the World. I don't really see the connection to Site Updates.
Is anyone else having trouble receiving notifications?
@mytwistedsoul I'm not sure what's going on. I know subscribing isn't working properly.
@AffyAvo @HopieRemi
It is annoying all the way round!
@mytwistedsoul Indeed!
@HopieRemi still can't get them to work on this end 😕
@mytwistedsoul If you are on google chrome you should get Charlie's editor for the forums! It is working again. Click HERE
@HopieRemi Charlie the wizard 😊👍
@QuietMagic
@HopieRemi thanks! 😊
@mytwistedsoul
@HopieRemi
All praises to Charlie! Thank you!
@mytwistedsoul
yay you got it!
@HopieRemi I never thought I'd have to jump through hoops to get a gif to work lol! Thank you again for suggesting Charlie's creations. He's like a tech genius!
@mytwistedsoul
hahaha xD he is pretty great!
Yeah I’m not getting most notifications. I have to constantly look at places I’ve posted manually. Kinda annoying xD I hope they fix soon x
@HopieRemi They still don't seem to be fixed. I didn't realize fixing something took so long!
@mytwistedsoul
must be a huge bug. @Devteam
@mytwistedsoul Does it always take this long to get someone to acknowledge that they at least read any of these? Everything is still messed up
@mytwistedsoul According to this, 72 hours but I haven't heard from the @7cupscommunity account since Sept. and there's multiple threads with tags, waiting. For a while it did show it was last active in the last month, but it went back to the last week again, so someone must have popped on to that account, but I didn't see any activity when that happened (although there may be responses I cannot see).
@Asher do you have any info on responses?
@AffyAvo I had wondered about that account. They had announced it's revival a few times if I remember right. Each time it was around for a while and then went dormant again. It seems next to impossible to get any answers to questions here and you have to be worried about pushing too hard or they punish you for it. I had just thought that someone would have at least addressed some of the issues by now.
Thank you for your reply!
Hello we are still active and around answering questions. If we missed a question please forward them to community@7cups.com to be answered as well.
@7CupsCommunity Will you be responding to the other tags? I understand a few being missed, but there were weeks where there was no activity from you, so you should still have the notifications in place.
Also, when you go inactive do email responses as well? There seems to be emails that have gone unanswered.
@AffyAvo
The community email is not associated with this account at all.
Are others still having problems with notifications? They seem to be hit or miss lately. With emphasis on the miss. So I'm not the only one having trouble with emails being answered too?
Another thing that I've noticed is that when I go to my forum threads the days do not match with the actual thread. On the my forums it often says that 1 day has passed but when I go to the actual thread it will say 2 days ago. Which in most cases probably isn't a big deal but I find that it messes with my sense of how much time has past. Is this something that anyone else has noticed?
@mytwistedsoul Ah yes! After checking several threads I found one like that. In My Forum Threads it says the last reply was "1 days" but in the thread itself it's "2 days ago". Another one says "3 days" but in the thread itself it's "Wednesday", which is 4 days ago.
Charlie
@RarelyCharlie Thank you for your reply. It's a little odd that it's not all of them. It seems to just be randomly. I'm not sure if I should report it as a bug or just leave it go and hope that it sorts it's self out because in all honesty nothing ever seems to be truly addressed and fixed here anymore.
