how long have you been self harm free? (possible trigger warning: SH)
I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.
It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be
you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.
and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.
I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.
if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.
Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?
4 full days.
@alexaners7734
That's great! Continue to take care of and be kind to yourself<3
About a week. That's the longest I've ever gone.
@Emsg5
A week is a super long time! I'm really proud of you for working so hard to stop self harming. I hope you're proud of yourself too and give yourself a lot of self love. You deserve it.
@lightTortoise1929
Thanks! It's been really tempting but I'm working through it.
I have not self harmed for many years Like 20+ , today sitting in the car riding with my kids and husband driving, I had a strong urge, I started scratching my arm, when I looked down it was red, I don't know what brought that feeling on, but I am scared, I don't know how to handle this, I thought it was in my past, I think I did it to escape domestic abuse long ago, but I haven't been in that situation for 19 yrs. Anyone who can relate to this?
@jr50
I can't identify with your exact situation, but I want you to know that it's okay to slip up. It happens to everyone, and although it can feel really bad, it doesn't mean anything negative about you as a person. Self harm is a learned maladaptive coping skill that although you can stop using it, you can never unlearn it. If you used self harm to deal with stressors in your life in the past, that's what may have happened, although with different stressors. I wish you the best and good luck in the future.
@lightTortoise1929. Thank you so much for your response, that makes sense.

About a day. It's very difficult. I didn't think I relied on it that much until something stressful happens
@lamepon
1 day is good enough for now <3 I know it must be difficult and you're right, we never know how much we rely on self harm before we encounter stress~ but I and all the listeners here are here to listen to and support you whenever you need~ Here anytime you need to chat and stay strong~
I was clean for 5 months until I relapsed yesterday. It wasn't serious or anything, but it still counts
@BaileeIsDaBomb
Please know you slight slip doesn't mean you're starting all over! You've come a long way and you can just stnad up where you are and keep going <3 stay strong~
