how long have you been self harm free? (possible trigger warning: SH)

I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.

It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be

you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.

and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.

I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.

if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.

Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?

Almost 3 months, the urges are still there like you wouldn't believe but I'm just having to take it one day at a time.

@honestLime3565 I can understand what you are talking about. No matter how much time passed, sometimes urges are just the same strong as before :/ But every day you are staying self harm free you are reducing the urge. keep fighting, I believe in you!

And if you ever need to talk - feel free to send me a message or contact any other active listener, sometimes its easier to fight together ♡

@Eetturtles24 congratulations! 2-3 weeks are step in your recovery path! And I believe you can make it even longer ♡ I really love the way how are you trying to distract yourself from negative things. It's very important to focus on postive things as it helps us to fight the urges! You are awesome, never forget that ♡

@alexaners7734 good job Alex! I really proud of you for fighting the urge to cut yourself but from what you said, it seems you are self harming in another way, am I right? Wanna talk about that?////////////////////

@RaCat no blood and it only cut the top layer of skin.

@RaCat does that count?

@alexaners7734 it's better than normal cutting but yeah it still counts as self harm. But if you feel this help you to fight urges to cut, maybe it can be alternative way for a while. but you need to quit it in longer perspective as well <3

I'll be self harm free for two years this Thanksgiving. I still think about it, quite a lot, whenever I'm tired or stressed or need to eat or sleep. It's always there. It lurks in the back of my head. But I've made it this far, and I'm not breaking my streak.

@Wowthisisaname oh I am very sorry to hear that you are facing a hard time right now :/ I know urges can be very hard and usually it comes when we are not ready to fight with them. But I believe you are strong enough to cope with them. You already made more than 40 days clean - thats alot and I am very very proud of you ♡

And in case you relapse, please know it's ok to relapse. As long as you are getting up and trying again - thats what recovery means - be able to get up even after the hardest relapsion :/ Stay strong and if you ever need to talk with someone feel free to contact me or any other active listener here ♡♡
