how long have you been self harm free? (possible trigger warning: SH)

I've seen this sort of thing on a couple of other sites.

It's to put your accomplishments, relapses or anything you want it to be

you could post every day if you need to or once a month, no accomplishments too small.

and if you relapse, you are strong. and you can do this.

I will try get back to as many people as I can and if you need message me on here.

if this doesn't work oh well, but id like to see it work.

Hope you are liking all the cute cat pictures! [v] here is your next clue, where can you introduce yourself if you're new to the subcommunity this month?

I thought it had been 3 years. But my therapist made me realize I HAVE been self harming all along. By not eating. Honestly that blew my mind. I never thought of it that way. So now, I'm not sure what to do. I guess.. I guess I never stopped.

@warmheartedCity185 yes, eating problems can also be concidered as self harm as you are making damage to yourself. But you are clean from cutting for 3 years - that's a lot and I want to say I am proud of you so much! And if you can overcome this problem, I am sure you will be able to overcome eating problems as well, we are here to support you all the time <3

10 years and 9 days since I cut. Lately I am realizing I self harm in other ways, through darker sexual desires or behavior. It's just another way to punish myself, but I can disguise it as "kink"

@Indifferent I am so proud of you for being clean for such a long period of time! Also, I can completely understand what do you mean while talking about unsafe (risky) sexual behavour but it's not that bad as cutting <3 Anyway, I am sure if you want you can stay away from this activity as well as you seem to be very strong person <3 Take care and keep being awesome :)

@peachcreek115 two days is also can be very very big step in our recovery path! Just think about it in this way: you took two days, it's more that 40 hours that you spent without hurting yourself. If you did this, it means you can do even more. I know sometimes it can be very hard and urge to cut or hurt yourself in another way can be very very strong but you know it, self harm don't lead anywhere. If you ever feel about to loose it, feel free to contact me or any active listener and talk it out, usually it helps us to distract ourselves. Take care and keep strong <3

@Grlscout I am very glad to hear that you went whole week without cutting, it's a big step in your recovery path and it seems you are strong enough to make it even longer! On the other hand, starving yourself is also the form of self harm and I am very sorry you see it as an option. Usually we do this because we are ashame of ourselves or our body, we want to see the changes but your body, your figure is beautiful in just the way it is and you don't need to change anything! I know it can be very hard to make yourself to eat something, but your health is worth it, right? If you ever need to talk about eating problems or cutting (or any different form of self harm) feel free to contact me or any other active listener. We are here to help you <3

@alexaners7734 I am very very sorry to hear that you are feeling this huge urge right now. But I know you are strong enough to deal with it and stay clean. Try to use some distraction ways, like doing sport, shouting, pushing a pillow or something else that could help you to realise that urge. And you can always talk it out with me or any other active listener on this site <3 Keep strong
