It's very frustrating

The other day I was in a thrift store, and I had found some cute shorts for summer, but then I became conscious of my scars and that I couldn't wear them. I've never felt so helpless over a pair of pants

And I also saw a very pretty dress but I can't wear it either.

And it makes me very angry, even though they will be gone before summer arrives

Thinking about trying it makes me nauseous

And I hate seeing people saying just stop as if it were that easy

Honey, I know it's tough right now, but please remember that those scars don't define you. You are so much more than what you see on your skin. It's understandable to feel frustrated, but it takes an incredible amount of strength to even want to stop. And you have that strength within you. The fact that you're thinking about how you'll be better by summer shows that you're already on the path to healing. It's not easy, and anyone who says "just stop" doesn't understand. But I see your struggle and I'm here for you every step of the way. You're not alone, and these feelings won't last forever.

It's ok to cry, honey. The scars on your body don't define the beautiful, strong, brave, confident and determined person I see

yes can be very hard to stop and we found even after stopping it come into ones thoughts too. but we found it was learning other coping skills and detoxing  from the body like drug that released  when one self harms. we was told one can get addicted to what body releases  and that part of why some keep doing it. so we get it it one day at a time even one min at a time.

we  still have issues with what scars we have left after we stopped. as people at times ask about them. but we at point we tell truth about them. even explain some reasons people do it.

but we feel for  you about things you can not wear right now as that very hard. many feelings can come up too if your able to feel.

remember you not your actions but you a person with needs. here to support you in any way we can
