Masturbation
Hey guys/girls, I was thinking about masturbation a lot lately, and I was wondering mostly about how everyone else views/utlilizes it. This is kinda just a general discussion I want to have, like how you learned, how and why we do it, how it's evolved as we've grown older, and even just anything interesting you have to add.
@ivoryZebra1269 Well as a kid gets into their teen years, their hormones and body starts changing/growing. As expected, a teenager wants to know what to do about their elevated hormones and if they don't learn it from their friends, they'll hear it on the internet or TV! I am Catholic and went to private schools my whole life. They told us that the Bible states that masturbation is wrong, but I was a teenager once myself and curious also. Hopefully God doesn't hold that against me! I don't see it as horrible or evil as we are all human.
It's a natural thing and prob good for u to release stress, I don't know why there's a stigma with it,
Masturbation is awesome and a great way to relax. I started masturbating at the age of 8, learned a lot about my body that was. I see nothing but positive things about it - unless you're in public or harassing someone in the process, that's a no-no
Self pleasuring one's self hasn't caused a unplanned pregnancy or sexually transmitted disease yet (both good things)
It's also been said... that masturbation is having sex with someone you Truly Luv (LoL)
Does anybody have tips for overcoming intense shame? I know masturbating isn't bad but I still feel horrible and dirty when I do.
@Teacupsarecute
What workerd with me was thinking about the moment instead of fantasize about unrealistic things that distracted me. When I finish I'm fully satisfied because all I wanted do was touching myself and that's what I did. Desiring things can make you frustrated for not getting what you want.
@ivoryZebra1269 I began masturbating at age 12.. and never stoped doing it.. I masturbated around 30-50 times per day when I was a teenager.. and it went down.. but always doing at least 10-20 per day.. I honestly never got a serious talk about it... some people say its good.. others say its not.. as long as it does not interfere in your personal life is good .

To me masturbation was never talked about, and the few times I heard people talking about it always had a bad conotation. Like women aren't supposed to masturbate, that they can't feel pleasure until they get married and that masturbation is a satan's work. What can I say.. ignorance comes a long way...
This made me grow up feeling SUPER ashamed of it. To this day (I'm 22) I'm stil a virgin but I do masturbate. I rarely do it because of the stigma and bad things people told me. I'm doing my best to fight it. My boyfriend does help me alot but it's still hard :(

I am 77 and my wife is 75. We no longer have in and out type sex, as this is like running a mini marathon.
Instead, I masturbate my wife [edited]. At the same time, she holds her vibrator on her clit.
With her other hand, she strokes my cock up and down. However, she only wants mutual sex about once a month, whereas I need sexual activity about every three days, so I masturbate myself in a number of different ways. I often spend up to half an hour at a time experimenting sexually with myself, [edited] I have had inumerable numbers of orgasms with this. The pleasure is just divine.
Variety, is the spice of an ever interesting sex life, so be prepared to experiment and enjoy tremendous happiness through masturbation.
It is perfect sexual therapy.

Hey new here, so to introduce myself I have ocd traits and anxiety disorder. Yesterday I was kinda horny so I decided to watch porn and masturbate. I watched a lot of videos and it looked like I was pretty turned on and quite anxious to release all this stress. I got myself in a video of a woman masturbating to her stepson and I masturbated to her moans and sayings. The thing is that I usually dont just masturbate to woman masturbating, and it seemed like I was already turned on so I kept going till I finish. Now my ocd wont let me go, saying things if I was somehow attracted to this woman, That it was hot and her vagina is hot and shit. Im not a lesbian or anything. It was the heat of the moment. What do you guys think. Im debating on what I got turned on by her masturbating. Do you guys think it was the heat of the moment? My ocd wont let me go. There was a part she did that I called hot, but Im not attracted at all to her, nor any woman. I just like men. What do you guys think? Thank you!!
@Dol1996 - Hi there, I'm glad you reached out! It can definitely be pretty confusing to find yourself enjoying something that you didn't expect to or reacting differently to something because of the heat of the moment. It's actually very common to find something sexy that isn't what you're typically into, or even just not to be bothered by it in the moment when you are already masturbating - and that doesn't mean that it is something you're attracted to or want. Our minds and bodies can react to a lot of stimuli and it's not always as simple as saying that if you were still going in the moment that you are suddenly attracted to that particular thing (though there's nothing wrong with being attracted to women or to men or both!).
As another example, I imagine some of the porn you have watched before might be hot to see, but the specific scenario isn't necessarily one you would actually enjoy in reality - it's a similar situation here, I think.
Hope that helps!
I started early on.
When I was 16 I was in a polyamorous relationship and there was no need for masturbation. After 4 years the relationship broke up ... soon after that I met my (now) wife and had a healthy sex life with her (shes monogamous)
Ive been married for 15 years and lately not having much sex with her (I think we did it 3 times in the last year) which is partly due to health reasons on her behalf.
So at the age of 36 I recently started masturbating again. . .
Theres nothing wrong with it.
