One thing that helps!❤
Hiya everyone, hope everyone's doing well.💖
I'm sure a lot of us come across situations here or even elsewhere, where many are dealing with similar issues in their dating/relationship experiences, and so much lies around how helpful it is to communicate with your partner, establishing a healthy space for expression and understanding.
While communication is typically amongst the first tips to bank on, I was wondering what else may be helpful in managing healthy bonds with those that we love.
Sooo, everyone coming across ~ What is that one thing that you feel has been helpful in keeping your relationships healthy and intact?💖
Or a tip/ insight that you'd like to share with others here that may be of some help in building stronger relationships.💖

hi sun!! thank you so much for this amazing and thought-provoking icebreaker. <3
one tip i have for people to have a stronger bond in their relationships is to listen to their partner when they're telling them something instead of just going back and forth on what they believe their partner is saying, or they believe happened, etc. being attentive and believing your partner can really go a long way.
@KatePersephone
Aw thank you, Kate and for the quick response too hehe. <3
Oh wow this is spot on, I feel so much misunderstanding and miscommunication happens when we are more "assuming" and less "trying to seek understanding". I agree, it's so important to actually be attentive in the conversation, perhaps ask clarifying questions where needed and yes, a big yes to valuing what your partner tells you and believing them, which in a way fosters trust in the relationship and makes one feel more confident in expressing too. <3
Appreciate your insight! <3

Thank you for this important ୧⍤⃝🌻 question & reflection, Sunshine! 🌞❤ღ(´͈ ᵕ `͈ ღ)
What is that one thing that you feel has been helpful in keeping your relationships healthy and intact? 💖
I think being who we are and not changing our personality, having a sense of self worth and self love ᕙ(ᵔоᵔ)ᕗ💗
, and not identifying ourselves with the other person/partner, are some of the important thing to keep our relationship healthy. (◍•ᴗ•◍)💗
I think it is also important to know that our happiness is not determined by the relationship, because if in case it does not work out, then we would feel depressed and may feel like it is ‘the end of the world’, just because we no longer have the relationship ᕠ( ᐖ )ᕤ💗
Hiya @VictoriaLove7, soooo well said and I completely agree.💖
In relationships, specially if it's more recently formed, it's so much easier to start identifying with the partner and to sort of lose our sense of identity and individuality.
To an extent, yes, our partner's life, and being, everything related to them, can and should affect us, because it's a partnership, and an extended sense of empathy and care is expected, but to make it our everything, and lose our individuality in the process of loving someone, can be detrimental, especially in the event of the partner not meeting you half-way, and not being as reciprocative.
Exactly as you said, a strong sense of self, self love and self worth, is what can help in reminding ourselves that two people coming together in a relationship are still two individuals and there should be mutual respect, consideration and appreciation for each other.
Beautiful thoughts, Vic, thanks so much for sharing!💖
