How to recognize True Love
Sometime we confuse attachment with true love. In your opinion how do you understand that is true love?
For me True Love is feeling close to the other, feel his/her soul. And imagine doing best things whit him/her.
True love is when you fall in love with your best friend.
For me true love is feeling 100% comfortable around the other and that they make you happy and in return you want to make them happy. I agree that it's selfless they are one of the most important things and you'd do anything to make sure they are happy :)
True love is when you feel very fine with that person, without anxiety, worries or mad feelings. I think true love has respect, fun, a good need to share things and morals. It doesn't matter if you have lots of things in common with him/her... It's not about that. It's about the moral, the feeling, the mind, what this person thinks. I think true love goes with that, like a hot dog with mayo (lol).
Love is beautiful with the right person!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Best explanation of true love, at least to me. :)

My husband of 9 years left me recently and i met someone new... i could use some advice!
@Caseyschik2004 What type of advise are you looking for?
I think there are many factors that are involved in being in a "true love" relationship. That's why it feels good and comfortable. Here are some factors and these factors need to exist in both partners.
Trust - being able to trust your significant other.
Security - feeling comfortable and at ease around the person.
Acceptance - feeling you are accepted for your flaws and all the silliness and everything in between.
Sense of joy - being able to feel joy when you are with the person.
Love and appreciation - when someone is in your life and they feel special to you, your heart will know it. That's why we feel close to certain people and some of them become our bffs.
I think also there's a certain foundation where when you get into bad moments like arguments and fights, both party usually return to a foundation of wanting to work it out with each other. They don't hold things against each other and their feelings goes back to the loving ways so that the relationship can thrive again.
