What was a book you were made to read for class that ended up actually being one of your favorites?

For me it was The Outsiders. I read it in 7th grade and loved it so much. Couldn't wait to go to English class to find out what happened next! And the movie - don't even get me started! It's one of my favorites and has such a great cast!

"Stay gold, Ponyboy." 💔😰

@placidSquare9564 We had to read that one in 8th grade! Loved it, but our teacher made us read it so slowly that it took 6 months to finish it... it got so boring at that point since it took so long! One that I enjoyed reading though was Delirium!

@SunnyFox207 I had never heard of Delirium, so I looked it up. It sounds like a really cool book!

It’s a cute story! It’s a bit more for preteens rather than teens but I still like it :3

For me, The Taming of the Shrew. I got to read the part of Kate and I really enjoyed how feisty she was.

@placidSquare9564 I read this book in class as well! After we watched the movie and I love the story. I even based some of the characters from my story on some in the outsiders!

@noodlesss That's really cool. May I ask which characters you drew inspiration from? :)

@placidSquare9564 I absolutely LOVED 1984. I'm not really sure why though. I feel like that book just kind of spoke to me, and gave me another point of view on how this world is functioning. It also kind of, in some ways, told me to not trust the people around you.

@placidSquare9564 Probably Fahrenheit 451 or 1984 by George Orwell. Maybe I have a thing for dystopian societies.
