...See more Good morning 7cups Family! Could you please send me warm fuzzies today? I have asked for a meeting with my assistant supervisor to discuss the bullying I'm experiencing in our workplace and am quite anxious. The bullying came to a head 6 mths ago and I've been too scared to bring it up but now I'm feeling a bit more courageous.

...See more Hello everyone, I just want to share a bit about what I'm struggling with in hopes of getting a little support. I have a budget at work and have to wait for my supervisor to tell me if there are any changes for the year. After several asks from Sept on, she finally told me what I'm looking at for purchasing amounts. I had spent very little because I didn't know what I was working with. I asked the admin assistant if she could give me totals with the few purchases I had made taken into account and she gave me numbers way above my budget!  My records don't show this. My purchasing card doesn't show this. When I talked with another supervisor and they looked, their records didn't show this. I've been let go from a job due to a mistake with budgeting before and am worried this will come up at my next job performance evaluation. Quite anxiou!

...See more I had my best friend of 8 years attack me with a vindictive voice memo when I mentioned concerned about her new boyfriend (which she asked me to do before she began dating anyone.) She detailed all the mistakes I had made in my relationships that I had shared in confidence, comparing herself to me as being wiser. Then she blocked me. I just discovered the married the guy she had been dating only months later. I'm sad that she changed so drastically. It was like I didn't know the true her at all. And I'm sorry she's not moved into a situation so like her first marriage. I know I can't do anything being a stranger now but it is disappointing and discouraging. Hoping someone can understand or has been in a similar situation.

...See more I've struggled with anxiety all my life. Coupled with my innate desire to people please, the combination has caused a lot of emotional and mental exhaustion. I was in a situation this week where I ordinarily would have ignored my gut instincts, gave the benefit of the doubt, responded passively to not hurt feelings or seem aggressive, and resented it later on. This time, I gathered up my courage and respectfully established a boundary. Almost instantly, a good chunk of my anxiety over the situation melted away and I had peace. I didn't feel guilty like I thought I would. Just proud of myself. :) Wanted to share this "power-up" moment with 7Cups fam!

...See more My supervisor was away the last few days and I had a coworker ask me if I could find anything division wise regarding ordering books on a specific, sensitive topic. I reached out to a higher up who is responsible for all of us librarians at a division level as I wanted to do my best to get an answer for my coworker. My supervisor is back today and I'm worried she is going to react poorly to my not waiting until her return to ask her. She has a history of volatile and unprofessional outbursts when she feels she has been "worked around" or not given her due respect. I am anxious she is going to explode at me (again as she's done this a few times before) even though I had the best of intentions. :(
