Welcome to the official forum thread for the Social Soldiers! Im glad youre here; youre amazing, and Im glad youre part of the community.
Introduction
The Social Soldiers project was created with the intent on eliminating the stigma that comes along with mental illness on social media, guiding those who are depressed/having a hard time/need someone to talk to right here to 7CupsOfTea. As Laura explained in her lovely thread right here, we need to be here for people who may feel as though they have no other place to turn.
What are Social Soldiers?
Social Soldiers are people that use 7Cups-designated social media to guide people in the right direction, hopefully leading them to the site where they can talk to someone who truly cares. They use the handles Twitter, Reddit and/or Tumblr, and check the tags for depression, or self harm, or anything along those lines.
Who can be a Social Soldier?
Anyone! Thats the beauty of this project; literally anyone can get involved with it.
What isnt a Social Soldier?
Sharing your own personal social media with other members/listeners.
Someone that shares their personal social media in this thread.
Just to debunk a question that may be asked, you can totally share your referral link on your personal social media handles, however we do ask that you dont share your personal social media handle here. If you have a big following on Twitter, and youd rather use your personal account to spread the word, thats totally okay, just do not share with other members/listeners your personal account. If you have any questions on this, feel free to PM me.

Hey every one :)
I just want to share my very short experience with this amazing initiative.
I joined few days ago, and was so excited, I applied to be part of all there social media (twitter, tumblr, and reddit ) and created new accounts as 7 cups listener, as I had no prior experience before.
and to be honest, I find myself not doing well in this regard especially with tumblr and twitter, as i spent many hours trying to figure it out, and how it works, but with no real achievements, but managed to sent some kind messages with reddit as I found it easy to use.
I just wanted to share this as I held myself accountable 
I know it takes sometime to take off, but really could use some help 
as I hope I can do my best spreading the message of 7 cups.

@obscureSam - thanks for the kind words and for your efforts as a social soldier. You are welcome to use which ever mode you are comfortable with. So some listeners love twitter while others love tumblr, while some reddit. You are welcome to be active on one or more social media channels. Keep up the good work!

Thanks a bunch but I am concerned about having enough time....I don't want to take time from another project I am involved in, which would result in me losing a badge. Maybe in the future though :)
Just posted my referral link to my poetry Tumblr blog. I know I have quite a few followers struggling, so I though just putting it out there about 7 cups might be helpful for some of them.
