“Self-doubt is a feeling of uncertainty concerning one or more aspects of the self, it could be you doubting your capabilities, talents, skills, etc. Even when it is obvious you are doing very well, you still think you’re not doing enough and you should have done better.

Self-doubt is a part of everyone’s life, you just either let it get to you or try to repress it. If you ever have a reason to feel like you’re not enough or your efforts are unseen, don’t let that weigh you down. Deep down you know the efforts you put into getting things done, solving problems, and achieving goals.

So here are some tips:

Reward Yourself for a Job Well Done: No matter how little you think what you have done is, you can reward yourself by taking yourself out, doing anything you love doing, resting(yeah this is a reward too), anything to make you happy! you did well!

Celebrate Wins: No matter how little you think the win is, celebrate it. Celebrations show you are grateful and being grateful openings doors to greater things. Celebrate your wins always, no matter how little.

Surround Yourself With Amazing People: Even if you have just one friend who motivates you, cheers you and encourages you, that’s fine. You need someone to let you know you’re doing well, if you have more than one person then you are lucky!”

How do you deal with selff-doubt?

I tend to do volunteer work. I know it sounds strange; but when I feel I'm not doing my best and I begin to wonder if I'm slipping, I give some of my time to our local free clinic. It gives me a sense of gratefulness, elevates my mood, and removes any doubt I may have had about my abilities. People are so kind and grateful that you are helping them. And, that in turn, reminds me that I'm still good at what I do.

I doubt everything about myself. I doubt my words - my actions - my intentions. These doubts have been fueled by the words of outside people - people who were once trusted. I'm trying to take into consideration why they said what they did. I try to celebrate the little wins and reward myself but then I see the flaws and talk myself out of the good. I like reaching out to people here that are struggling. It's nice to know I may have helped them in some way - but then I think maybe I did or said what I did just to have them thank me. That I did it just for the praise. There are some really awesome people here who try and help me see the good things but tbh its hard to believe sometimes. I'm trying to get better with this but omg it's hard

It's unfortunately true that others words can have a big impact on how we see ourselves and even cause us to have self-doubt. I think it's great that you like reaching out and supporting others! It's okay to want a little praise. It feels good helping others! If it makes the one you are helping AND you feel good, then I see it as a win-win! I appreciate you sharing!💛💫
