How has your week been?
week been very hard for us. we feel like it been that we been bullied in support chat room. but also been supported in there too. but one chatter seem to have it kinda out for us. even made fun of us saying we. so that and the emotional learning things been hard. we had a lot of flashbacks and nightmares last few weeks.
What is something you're working on improving?
voicing how we feel and reaching out to others. so learning to trust more and to not hold everything within. so that what working on improving, but it really really hard for us. kinda like a tug a war within as some say it ok to trust others still think it not and we get hurt badly by trusting others.
@stormieandpaws
Hi, I don't spend a lot of time in the group chatrooms, but I wonder if there's anything to be done as far as moderation or reporting if someone is repeatedly making fun of you? Doesn't seem ideal that whenever you go in there, if that one person happens to be around, you get bullied.
Makes sense that the answer to "how much should I trust people and share things" would vary depending on which part is answering the question. Will say that it's okay to take things at your own pace and pick as much distance/trust as feels right for you.
@QuietMagic
❤️
prefer not to answer but do want to let you know my acknowledgment and gratitude for keeping Thais space alive. I imagine many like me do pay attention but at times are absent..
how are you?
@LabeledBPD
Thanks for the appreciation. 💜 Sometimes the space is busier than others, and I figure that when it's less busy I don't need to be like "uh oh, activity numbers are down; must create engagement". 😊 As long as there's something here when people are looking for it, that's good enough.
But now that I think about it, actually it seems like people are trying to connect with one another and are unable to (example 1, example 2)... so that feels like a problem. Will make a thread and try to bounce ideas around on that.
I'm doing fine, just trying to catch up on sleep this weekend. Am realizing that if I'm sleep-deprived, that makes a bunch of other things worse, and it finally feels important enough to try to work on it.
@QuietMagic
i can truly understand how engagement may cause thoughts and or actions of doing more. You care about this space therefore it would be natural. Accepting that we are not always consistent is accurate and having the space is what’s most important. I can imagine that’s emotionally challenging. Our minds like to really mess with us.
All of above is why I had to stop by and say what I have and would never waiver on such comments.
I’m glad you have discovered sleep being such an important factor, you are absolutely right! I hope you are able to make the shift to better sleep hygiene. When learning to fly we was taught that for a hour of sleep translates to two ours of wakefulness… fast forward…. If heavily sleep deprived (or heavily stressed) I see things that are not there it’s truly horrible and at first soul destroying because well , seeing things not their is not normally a good sign. I’m glad I have narrowed it down to causes and predominantly it’s sleep, or lack of. It’s so so important!
I may not always be active or engaged but the support and recognition for this space as a result from your efforts will never fade. Thank you. You do enough and maybe you don’t believe it but it is enough always. Engagement is a very bad metric to base things on. Ha, (cynical laugh) especially, with personality disordered people.
rest well quiet. It’s actually my New Year’s resolution also as I push the boundaries far too often knowing the consequences. Doing alright with it mostly.
@LabeledBPD
Thanks for the encouragement! Yeah, if the missed connections issue is something that can be solved or at least improved without a huge headache, it's worth a try. If not, then agree with you that having something is better than nothing. 😊
Also agree that engagement might not always be the right thing to aim for. It's normal for people to pop in and out depending on whether they feel like posting, have things to share, don't have things to share, are feeling too upset to share things, etc. People can and will do whatever they want, and that's how it should be. 💜
That must be a relief to have pinned down a cause for the visual hallucinations, and to have a plan of "just get enough sleep and they won't appear".
How is the resolution going so far (trying not to push boundaries)?
