Growth Path Playlist: Community Discussion & Feedback
Hey, everyone! The Growth Path Playlist is in full swing! There's roughly 25+ paths community members have made that you can try out right now! We have plenty more in the making by the subcommuniites, and if you have access (see list of badges and application form in this FAQ) you can make your own on any topic you'd like! Alternately, you can join in the conversations over broader categories and help us pool together ideas for playlist paths!
Now that the Playlist has been out a while, I’d like to get your feedback:

Just a general question. I created a path, and when I select the preview on the list of Community Paths, only about half of the path actually appears. When I go into the editor, it's all still there. Is this a glitch? Or is there something wrong with the path itself that only half would appear?

@LuLuRings Hi there, you can try saving the overall path after adding all your steps into the builder. The Preview list seems to be complete on my end
@SoulfullyAButterfly Thank you for your response! For the first path I made, the Embrace the Rainbow one, that one used to show all the steps in the preview. Now it stops about halfway through. I haven't made any changes. I went back into the editor, and all steps are still saved and present. I tried re-adding and re-saving, but it still doesn't change the preview on my end. The preview stops after the Happiness Video.

Please get the software people to fix the new buttons ASAP for
Private Path, Publicly Accessible Path, Unlisted Path.
Yesterday (April 2) I found that...
If you use the buttons to set your path to Publicly Accessible,
then your path will become permanently become non-accessible to Members.
I used the buttons yesterday April 2 to set some paths to Publicly Accessible,
because I have been making announcements on threads that the paths are available,
so I wanted to be sure they were set to Public,
So I set them to Public using the new buttons,
and then I checked them using a Member Login to make sure they were viewable,
and the result was... instead of being Publicly Accessible,
the paths I set to Publicly Accessible were not accessible to Members.
Nor could I set them to Publicly Accessible by retrying from my Listener login.
So the new Private/Public buttons don't work and properly and they cause a major problem.
If you use the buttons, the result is not reversible from my experience.
Your paths go into limbo and their access becomes non-settable and the path is not Public anymore.
Please revert the software back and remove the buttons for now until you can fix them so they work properly.
Please set my paths to all public because the buttons don't actually allow me to set them back to Public even though I select Public and save it and then it says saved okay. The buttons don't really work right at all for me.
I advise all Growth Path Builders...
DON'T USE THE NEW PRIVATE/PUBLIC/UNLISTED BUTTONS AT ALL
OR ELSE
YOU MIGHT LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR PATH SETTING AND IT WILL BECOME NON-PUBLIC AND YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO CHANGE IT.
This all seems like a really bad late April fools joke.
Please fix the buttons and set my paths all back to public!!!
This is very frustrating for me because...
I have been posting forum threads telling people my new growth paths are available.
And then I use the new buttons to set those paths to public
and then the paths suddenly become non-public permanently because the buttons don't work properly
and I can't change the paths back to public no matter how many times I try.

for alerting the Dev Team so quickly!
It seems the Dev Team made software changes that allowed me to set my paths to Public with the new buttons -
because
I was able to restore the Public setting to my Public Paths.
In all cases, my settings were all correct ( member - listener was already set for all properly).
So the problem was something in the new button software it seemed.
And there is still a problem -
ALERT TO PATH BUILDERS - the builder - still - sometimes opens an existing path and sets it to Private even though the path should be Public. The builder is still overriding the existing setting to Private when it opens a path that is Public.

I can now see my unlisted paths.
Also my public paths stay public after I save them.

I have built a path for my team and also for myself. I need to use them each day

Dear H and team,
I identified a new problem with the growth path BUILDER software.
I created 3 new paths...
1) James Taylor Songs 3,
2) Emotion Insights - SESAME STREET,
3) Belly Breathe to Relax - SESAME STREET
I CAN
see them
when I am
LOGGED OUT
on the Community Path page
as shown below
But I CANNOT
see them
when I am
LOGGED IN
on the Community Path page
or on the My Paths page as shown below
So my 3 new growth paths always vanish as soon as I LOG IN.
I should be able to see them when I am LOGGED IN.
I am using very latest Chrome browser and everything is cleared in advance and there is no pre-fetch.
I see the same behavior on 2 different computers so it is very likely a 7Cups growth path software problem.
I need to be able to see them when I am LOGGED IN
so I can easily select them
and see them run in the real Growth Path viewer
to see if they are formatted okay.
So the sooner you fix it, the more efficient I can be making new healthy habit paths.
I hope this information helps you identify the problem you need to fix.

The problem I explained above
still needs to be fixed.
As you can see from screenshots below...
now whenever people add new public growth paths
the new paths are only shown on the community path page if you are logged out
like shown here..
But if you are logged in,
then the new public growth paths still disappear like shown here...
Hope you realize that this is a big problem
because most people are logged in when they look for growth paths.
So... I'm waiting for you to fix this problem before I spend time making more healthy habit growth paths...
because I don't want to spend time making growth paths that people can't see unless they are logged out...
because people will most likely never see them.
Hope you understand my concern.

@7motivation Hi can you try using the search bar on top of the community paths page while logged in? I know this is frustrating and helps prevent exposure to great paths but I believe a new update is being worked on to allow better scrolling and more paths to be visible

Thanks for the quick reply and very good suggestion.
I prefer to wait until the fix actually occurs.
I typically put a lot of time and work into creating my public growth paths.
So I want to be sure people can at least see them on the community list while logged-in.
It's already been 23 days since I first reported this problem.
I fear that other priorities might delay the fix for a very long time.

I think there is are new BIG software bugs to fix after looking at the new version.
For example, now none of my public growth paths appear when I click "My Paths" when I am logged in.
I mean this link while logged in - https://www.7cups.com/path/modifier/created/
But if I use Builder, then I can see my paths.
So my paths still exist, but I can't see any of them using the My Paths link.
Also none of my paths appear if I use the Search feature here

So it seems there are multiple big bugs to fix.
Hope this helps you identify them so you can fix them.
New here so growth paths are confusing, but I'm gonna try!
