wow! Standing up to your friends.....that quote is EVERYTHING!

This morning, I woke up to my spirit telling me the story of Icarus. He lived in a tower with his father in the middle of the sea. His father created two sets of wings, from wax and feather, so they may escape.

His father warned to not fly too close to the sun, for the wax will melt, but not to fly too close to the sea, for the water will weigh the wings. Of course, cocky Icarus flew too close to the sun, melted his wings and essentially fell to his death.

I suppose my message to myself was to try to stay middled and leveled. Do not get my hopes or expectations too high or I may burn myself out and fall but to also not get swept by my emotions and fears, otherwise Ill drown myself.

I hope thisll help anyone else who is struggling with expectations or fear of failure or even anxieties around their emotions/thoughts/feelings. Maybe its okay to stay neutral, as it can help you fly and soar and to not be afraid to leave your own prison of thoughts.

Basically what I mean is, don't push yourself too hard. Don't push yourself too hard for someone else, stop when you've had enough and don't feel guilty about it. Don't do all the work by yourself. Stop when you need too. Be your priority.

It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. Full of darkness and danger there were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the ending be happy.

How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happend?

But, in the end, it's only a passing thing. This shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stuck with you, that meant something even if you were too small to understand why. But I do understand. I know now.

The folk in those stories had so many chances of turning back only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something.

That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo and it's worth fighting for.
