Weekly sharing of Goals! Week #41 2024 (Monday 10/14/24 - Sunday 10/20/24)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But importantly, talk about getting it done..... or why it didn't happen yet.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.
@IsayUncle
My goals today (Oct 21st)
- Fill in 8 hours of sleep.😴
- Write the first draft about Pluviophile, in Chinese, 3000 words.
- Write a post dedicated for the coming Tuesday,for trauma community.
- Get everything done on my October Daily Task list.
- Three happlings, four blessings.
But you'll fight and you'll get through.
You w'll fake it if you have too.
And you'll be better.
You 'll be positive though it hurts.
And you will laugh and embrace your friends.
@Apeatrice
Awww, so happy to see you back.
By the way, You are right.... sometimes we have to fake it 'till we make it.
and fight fight , fight, till we get it right
and at days end, lets try to laugh and be with a friend.
YOU ARE SO RIGHT. I am so very proud of you! 😀
@Apeatrice
So, this is a very interesting post.
Are you a Pluviophile? It seems to be a topic of interest for you and who doesn't love the sound of rain drops at times.
And in Chinese???? What the heck? Only time we read Chinese over here in the United states is when we're trying to follow instructions and we do not understand them. That's when we say, " these instructions are written in Chinese".... LOL 🤣😂.
And what the heck is 3 haplings and four blessings. I'm going to guess that we gotta look at things that if we have 3 misfortunes we should have or be thankful for four blessings? Am I close? I looked up on the Internet on Google but I couldn't find what it meant.
There's only a couple of countries that are 17 hours to 24 hours ahead of the United states. If you don't mind me asking which one you from?
Anyway I hope you had a great day and rewarding endeavors as you move forward. 😀
@Apeatrice
Get everything finished except the pluviophile and I slept 5 hours not 8...
Writing for trauma sup rn...
Still a well achieved day
Downloaded the zip files for the assignment. Took the dog out to play for a bit but now I feel a little tired. Still congested so I don't know how much I'll be able to accomplish. I may have to somehow find time at work tomorrow to look at the information. I've never done a .js file and I still need to get a domain name so the site can properly load.
I don't want to rest because I fell asleep earlier after eating something (was what I normally eat on the weekend but maybe it was too much because of the cold) and I wasn't very productive yesterday. And, I really don't have time to waste. Everything is on my shoulders. It's not like I can delegate things to the cat...
@Enthenia
Delegate things to the cat, 🤔 everyone knows the cat ain't gonna pay you no attention. You have to delegate it to the dog. HA HA HA. I wish you could. 💚
I'm sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. The tiredness and the sleep I needed to make you feel better but also not having the time to indulge makes it kinda hard. I hope you get to feeling better soon so you're not so tired and you can get the stuff done that you need to.
I've heard of zip files for many years and I know that they save space but I've always been afraid to download anything like that or save anything like that because I don't know how to open up a zip file. Do you need a special program or something?
I'm finding out that you have very big shoulders. Try to hang in there, you can do it. You impress me and I am very proud of you for many reasons. 😉
@IsayUncle well she's older than the dog. I would think that the cat would have more wisdom. The dog isn't even two years old yet.
The dog slept for a bit and I did things on the computer. I tried seeing if the hosting site I found had given me the credits for being a student but they want a photo student ID. I was never issued one since it's an online degree. I may still use the site. $15 for the domain name and I think it's an extra $10 for the hosting but I can't do it until the end of the week.
Played with the dog with a squeaky beach ball. Sitting on the couch now. Feeling congested and a little hot. Not a fever because I rarely get fevers. Dog appears to be sleeping again so I don't want to move. She'll get up if I do.
Actually I did have to get up to lower the volume on the computer. She watched me then turned over. Maybe later I can unzip the files.
Zip files are large files that are compressed to make it easier to send. They can be dangerous but just like anything, so long as you know the source.... All the assignments I submit have to be zipped. I use 7zip to compress the files. I am familiar with WinZip but you have to pay for that. 7zip is free and functions the same way as WinZip.
As for the tremendous responsibility, it's never been anything I asked for, it's just how things end up.
@Enthenia
Sorry about the photo ID.... Every little bit of $$ matters a lot.
You take care of your puppy like a princess or prince... i forget. lol
Thanks for the zip file information, it may come in handy for me one day.
Have a great evening.
@IsayUncle I guess she's a princess since that cat's been around longer. She has to be a queen.
I got the files unzipped. I can send them to my work email but I don't know if I can get to them at work. It depends on how much I can accomplish or how many setbacks I encounter.
On the assignments, it's not a question of wanting to do them or not--I know I have to do them (much like the work tasks. Computer crashes are irrelevant. The work has to be done ), I know I have to do them. I should have done better and not gotten sick.
@Enthenia
Yeah, I know what you mean. The work has to be done in the corporate world. Well, really in any environment, the work does have to be done.
And setbacks like crashing computers is of little consequence. It takes special employees to understand that and push as hard as they can through it. When you start looking for another job, that fighting spirit will Sprint you ahead of a lot of people.
The consequences of sickness and illness Is just that. They are the consequences and sadly, we have to compensate for those. I've been out of work for five weeks now because of arm surgery. I have to kind of start all over and it's right here during the holidays. It's a mess. But I know, if all goes well, then by the first of the year I'll be back on track.
We cannot let what we cannot control deter or discourage our drive towards our goal.
I hope you're feeling better today and have a little extra energy. Have a great start to the week!
@Enthenia
Hi love. I heard you, its really stressing when everything needs to be done.
Here are some key points to remember tho:
- Getting yourself through the day is already a thing that deserves celebration. And you achieved that and even took the dogs out and get start on your assignment.
- Writing out all of what you needs to achieve can makes things less difficult, its a psychology fact.
- Instead of thinking; I don't want to do this, I can't get it finished in time, I am too lazy (or any of those negative and self destructive comments you are saying to yourself) Say to yourself: I needs to get this assignment done in time. I am going to do some research on the project first, and than write the first draft. Instructions are easier to follow than a general order.
Hope everything goes well for you.
@Apeatrice
Please forgive me if I offended you. (I love 7 cups for it's amazing international ties). It proves to me that we can all get along and also that we all suffer too. We're just humans living on different parts of the planet. That's how I see it.
I found the things that you were talking about in your post so very interesting. My comments we're meant to be of the best nature. Of interest and involvement. I'm sorry didn't come out that way. 😢
I thought everything you wrote about was very cool and I just wanted to know more about it.
I love interesting people and I love learning things so I ask a lot of questions.
I'm doing wonderful today, there is no anger in my heart today and actually hardly ever. thank you for asking. 💚
@IsayUncle
Ah. Felt like I overreacted. Its just, I've been facing a lot of discriminations on Cups till recently. I'm sorry, hope we are still cool.
