Weekly sharing of Goals! Week #3 2024 (Monday 01/15/24 - Sunday 01/21/24)
I welcome anyone to commit to a goal here today.
But more importantly, talk about getting it done or why it didn't happen today.
To praise each other for our efforts and wins.
While supporting each other through trials and setbacks.
And to continue trying and not give up.
Remember:
Every Goal should be considered "Worthy".
Never belittle your achievements and be proud of yourself for your daily accomplishments!
Whether they be Complex or Simple.
Getting out of bed is a good day..... Good job I say!
Share your goals today, for support and encouragement.

I've added a "soft" tag list to this thread because I start a new thread every week and sometimes it gets lost and is hard to find. If you want to be removed or added, please let me know but always visit when you can. We love to hear from you! 💗.
As a list of 20 things are pondered and tarot cards come together I wonder how Bible studies are coming along and if sheds are painted for pellet storage. We all have such interesting lives. Let's continue into week #3 with our spirits lifted, and hope on a bright horizon. As time allows, Let's all continue to support each other this week. 😄💗🤪💪💚🌟
@IsayUncle I'm currently at 0 with that hydra-type task list :) Probably, tomorrow it is going to be at 10 again, but right now... it's 0!
Tomorrow I need to make a phone call - it's a ridiculously normal one, but I've been procrastinating on it for roughly a year...
And then this week or next, I'll need to do some accounting, too. I'd prefer doing that a couple times more if that meant I didn't have to make a phone call, but well...
How are things on your side?
@cloudySummer
Hey hey, I've been missing the daily or bi-daily correspondence. So bring me up to date, did you make your phone call? And what is a hydra type task. Fluid like water? That would make sense to me.
I'm glad to hear at the moment you're down to 0 and yeah for sure it don't take long to start adding up.
I'm just Just working and it is is keeping everything else kinda shut down but I got some good news about the future partnerships in side work plans for this year. I'll post more about that tomorrow, kinda pooped right now hehe. Just stopped in for a quick hello.😏
@IsayUncle Oh, heh, thanks. The Hydra is a mythical monster with many heads from Greek mythology. When you cut off one, two grow back in its place.
Yes, I made the phone call. Almost had forgotten about that, lol, thanks for asking about it and remembering!
It's good that you still somehow found the time to work on your after-FedEx plans (I can't imagine how you do that, but it's great!), and found someone who wants to work with you towards that same goal, with the kind of work coming up that feels like it has more purpose and is separated into 'projects' that make sense, like helping someone make their garden nice, or putting new pipes and lines into the ground (I guess that's the kind of work that one would be doing with the smaller vehicles). Congratulations!!!
Hope you'll get some good sleep at least on the weekend!
@cloudySummer
So, things here have been kind of tough on me. The job is hard for me and still maintaining long hours, I'm very tired everyday, and sore and don't have any time to do personal stuff. I'm used to doing things with purpose and some sense of achievement. Running myself into the ground just for money is something I've never done much. i do see that appeal a little bit right now because my bankroll is climbing and that is very good. I can push through for a couple more months, I'll have the extra cash to get back into the backhoe business.
I got some pretty big news in that department. I hooked up with another friend of mine that has a lot to bring to the table. He's also a mechanic a welder and stuff like that. Everything that's needed to maintain heavy equipment. Him and I are gonna start working together after I severe the commitment i currently have. That is also going well. My current partner ready to step back so that's very good.
The other guy that I'm talking about just ran across a great deal for a bulldozer and the rig to transport so we are golden with being able to do a lot of different types of earth moving jobs. That is very exciting and keeping me motivated through my tiredness right now.😵💫
I wonder how we've actually already moved into week 3. It seems really crazy that this is true. It's going well so far. Super busy, but I've started on a change in my life with my lifestyle related to health. It's going good.
My word for the year is renewal. I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes for this year.
@KristenHR
Yea , Crazy, Right? Time waits for no man.... or woman. 😰lol😂.
I know what you mean about being super busy, but it is fantastic you haven't lost your focus on your health goals. I know last year you started working on that pretty hard and so it's wonderful to hear you're going to continue and be persistent about it.
I like talking about things on a weekly basis because it seems like it breaks things down into reality so I hope you like it too and I know it takes the time to talk about these things and is hard to do when we're so busy but please, share your progress with your health often, here and as time allows.
It's always wonderful hearing from you, thanks for popping in. 🤗
Goal for today - get the lane cleared. Storm dropped six inches of fresh snow. Lane is a switch back with steep drops on one side
Goal for week - get necessary paperwork for lawyers and pick up car - probably not until Sunday due to weather
@mytwistedsoul
Do you have anything to make that easy or easier, like a snow blower or ATV or anything like that. I think we got the same six to seven inches here. Kind of a pain in the but*. just be careful and don't stay out in the cold too long.
That'll be great to get some more of your probate work done this week.
I'm working on all my 2023 income and tax paperwork. I keep pretty good track of it throughout the year so it's not really that big of a deal. Took a big chunk out of it today still got more to do.
@IsayUncle Oh yeah! Three snow blowers and a skid steer lol. There's more snow on the way too 🤪 This cold snap sucks - it's been a balmy 3 degrees in the morning 🥶 Today is a trip to town to pick up salt
@mytwistedsoul
Sounds like you got the equipment for the job. That's great, I'm looking forward to the warmer weather and the rain coming this week. I hope it washes away all this snow I had enough of it. 🥴
@IsayUncle
I was able to solve a beautiful math and write a code yesterday that made me happy. So sharing here :)
@seashell145
Thank you, that is so warm and wonderful. 🤗 Congratulations too.
@IsayUncle
Thank you dear Isay! It means a lot. Also thank you for the opportunity to share, much love <3
Hi pals, how are all of you feeling today? Thank you as always, @IsayUncle, for making sure that we stay each other accountable as well as thriving and personally growing within our goals. This time, I want to concentrate in my self-care activities as well as limiting the time I spend here within this platform so that it doesn't compromise my health.
As
I get reminded of how my physical and emotional health are correlated, I
decided to introduce some changes from now on within my 7Cups schedule.
From now on, I will be taking two days off a week, mostly Fridays and Saturdays. That would ensure me to distribute my energy levels wisely.
Furthermore, I have realized that, while completing the electives for my internship, especially, while focusing on chat rooms, I only will do so in environments which feel friendly and welcoming for me.
I will also have to reschedule my chats as well as the times I check in with members as well.
Finally, I am
planning to talk to my mentor about all of these changes so that they
can support me the best.
As of my own physical and emotional
care, I've been engaging myself in activities which sort of asked my
own energy, which is why I am feeling somehow prone to burn out but not
quite yet.
Therefore, my first priority is attending my therapy session and not procrastinating it anymore.
From now on, this week I will focus on listening to
music, singing, getting out of home for an activity I like, gathering more information about learning to
swim or a language, for example, as well as connecting with people
face-to-face who nurture my own self. Writing consists in a personal
coping tool as well.
Besides, physically speaking, according to
this week, I want to take a shower this week, take care of my sleeping
cycle (still trying to figure out how?), keep on drinking water and eating three meals (done!), try some
yoga and ask someone to get my nails painted. I always find this
ultimate activity one of the most draining ones which my current mental
state can't afford to do so.
I will be posting this as a reminder for myself so that I can hold my accountability and see how much I managed to do.
@MusokeHere
Hi Musoke, welcome to the thread. I love the way you listed everything in red that you're wanting to do.
It kinda makes it so much easier to see and follow. I know what you mean about taking time to yourself from 7 cups. I regret not being able to spend more time here on 7 cups myself, and you are right, we do need our time. We have to trust steady pressure can get a lot more done then a whole lot of pressure at once, which can actually cause damage. The little bit I do manage is with friends and it really helps me out a lot and it's nice to see other people trying to get stuff done too.
I'm really glad you shared everything that you did and I think these are some amazing goals to work on throughout the year. I don't think any of them are like "Wham bam, let the door slam" kind of things. They feel like things that need a general pressure constant push throughout the year to feel the positve changes ohh all the good directions that you wanna go.
I usually start a new thread every week just because it's like a fresh start. Sometimes it's hard to find but next week is week #4 of 2024. would you like me to tag you in on the new weekly threads as we go throughout the year?
@IsayUncle
Thank you for your kind, heartfelt and welcoming words. They surely meant a lot to me. I would love you to tag me next week. It is going to be a complicated one since I am also struggling with my mental health state and, to be honest, I couldn't manage to complete the basics. I wonder how everyone tries to make peace with not being able to achieve your goals or being more compassionate with yourself. I am open to every insight.
Sending warm thoughts of love, care and compassion. Thank you, Isay, for making the world and this community a better place with your existence. Shine brightly just as you are doing it so far!
