How It Works:

1. Share Your Story: Write a short story (3-5 sentences) about a recent mindful moment, whether positive or neutral.

2. Sensory Details: Include sensory details—what you saw, heard, felt, or smell,while reflecting on the emotional or mental impact of the experience.

3. Engage with Others: Feel free to comment on other stories or share similar experiences to deepen the conversation.

4. Tag your 7 cups friends who might be interested in sharing their own mindful moments and keep the activity going.

@MindfulJourney22

Great post MindfulJourney22!

Recently I met someone who was quite unfriendly to me in the past. Initially when I saw them a feeling of anger came up but then I decided to say "Hello" what started a conversation. Although my body felt a little tense and my mind remembered the things that happened, I focused on what they told me. The story I heard, what they have been through was rough and I felt compassion for them. My head felt so much lighter after this conversation.

@amiablePeace77 It sounds like you handled a tough situation with a lot of grace. By choosing to engage with kindness and compassion, you allowed yourself to release that tension and open up to a new perspective. It's not always easy, but it’s beautiful how you let your heart lead the way, even when the past was hard to forget. Well done!

@amiablePeace77. Omg your story reminds me of something that happened to me! I used to work in the hospital. There was a family who used to visit their family member who were very rough and demanding with the staff. I was in the grocery store when I saw one of the family members who said really nasty things to me. I turned to go the other direction. She ran after me and said, “I wanted to apologize to you for my behavior, we were going through a really hard time.” I felt myself filling with compassion for her. I saw her a few times after that and we had nice conversations.

@MindfulJourney22 for the past month or two, I've only been able to move my right arm and head. I was so frustrated that I can't do the things I love, like drawing. But I worked really hard with myself, pushed through the frustration and worked with what I am able to do, and created painted some pictures I'm can be proud off 😁❤

@MindfulJourney22

I recently read a statement that answered a question I had. It gave me satisfaction that I had found the missing piece to my understanding. It gave me peace to discover that what I believed was true.

@Clio9876 I'm so glad to hear that you found the missing piece to your understanding! It's such a fulfilling moment when something clicks and you realize that what you believed was indeed true. It brings a sense of clarity and peace that can be hard to describe until you experience it. I hope  that this newfound insight will continue to guide you as you move forward. It's moments like these that make the pursuit of knowledge so rewarding when everything aligns and your perspective feels more complete. Keep trusting in your instincts and seeking that deeper understanding!

@MindfulJourney22 While shopping in a grocery store, a young boy approached asking for food, so I gave him a strawberry, but his disappointed reaction made me want to do more. I noticed he was with his mother, who was begging for money nearby, and I decided to take them both to the store to buy what they needed. The mother rushed to buy medicine, toiletries, and food, while the boy found a pair of sneakers he liked, which I bought for him. After purchasing everything, I realized I had spent all my extra cash, but I felt happy knowing I had helped and put a smile on their faces. As I left the store, the manager, suspicious of the situation, checked on me, but I was content, knowing that helping others is who I am, even if times can be hard. I’ve shopped for myself here many times, but in that moment, I thought, 'Why not shop for a family in need? 💛
