Cups Meditation & Mindfulness Retreat 22:th July - 10:th August
Hello lovely community. ❤️❤️ I hope you are enjoying summer.
It's time to welcome you to our very own Cups Meditation & Mindfulness Summer Retreat!
Inspired by a very motivated member who wanted a meditation buddy for accountability.
I wanted to make this a community thing where we can all participate and join in on the fun, listeners, forum supporters and members, everyone is welcome.
I think we could all benefit from this and help support and motivate each other to find more mindfulness in our daily lives. A little goes a long way.
The setup is simple:
I am going to be posting a mindfulness activity each week that we do together.
Each week we will be checking in and talking about how it went and what our experience was.
This gives us some space to reflect on the exercises. The retreat will be going on for 3 weeks and our last check in will be 10:th August.
To begin, for this first week we are going to choose a guided meditation video to do during the week. Doing it once is required but if you want to do it more times, that is something you are free to do. It's up to you what video you want to do but I can give some suggestions.
First check in will be next week on Thursday 27:th July. ❣️

Thanks to @amiablePeace77 for supporting me with the idea. 🌱 And thank you to everyone who responded to my earlier post and have been patiently waiting. ❤️
Lots of love and gratitude to you.

Love this so much! Looking forward to trying one of these meditations and then giving a report! I love the simplicity! I hope so many friends join us!
@Sunthruclouds
Thank you for offering and creating a Meditation & Mindfulness Summer Retreat! I love this idea and are happy to participate. Meditation has greatly helped me in life. I became calmer and learned to deal with unhelpful thoughts by focusing on the now. I hope everyone here will benefit from it too.
@Sunthruclouds I so want to be apart of this retreat and participate. :) Do we check in weekly here on this thread? It would have been so cool if this retreat was almost like a huddle where there is a chat for all the participants.
Reminder for everyone ! ☘️
Tomorrow Thursday is first check in and I'm excited to hear about your experience. I will be posting in this thread with some questions so look out for that.
If you haven't yet done the meditation or are just reading about this retreat, there is still time to join us. All you have to do is choose any meditation video you like and do it for tomorrow. 🧘 If you can't find anything check the post and I have some suggestions there with guided meditations.
Hope to see you all tomorrow! Don't forget to tag all your friends. ❤️
Welcome to our first check in of this retreat. ☀️🧘 27/7
What video did you do?
What was your experience like?
Anything else you want to add?
@Sunthruclouds. I tried one of the Tara Brach videos and it didn’t do anything for me. I saw that @YourCaringConfident tried the Adrienne video so I tried that one too. I liked that one much better as well . I like listening to my breath like it were the ocean. That is relaxing for me.
@Sunthruclouds
I did the first Yoga with Adrienne video - https://youtu.be/d4S4twjeWTs
I started practicing Yoga this year following Adrienne's videos. So I loved the synchronicity that this was one of the videos suggested. I shared the link with a friend and in one of the 7cups group chats when I practiced, in case anyone else wanted to join me. I enjoy her soothing voice. Adrienne often says that even just showing up to ourselves is a win. 🧘 Yoga is like mindfulness for the body, so it's fun to find videos that share that overlap between the two worlds. Our bodies and minds are interconnected and that is beautiful.
@wontwakewontsleep
That is synchronicity, love that!
Yes that is so true, our bodies and minds are truly interconnected. What we do with our mind affects the body and vice versa.
Adrienne's voice is soothing, I agree on that. I do love the way she teaches yoga and mindfulness, it's very "come as you are". Just showing up is sometimes the most important part and not always the easiest.
Thank you for sharing about your yoga journey as well. ☘️
@Sunthruclouds
What video did you do? I did the Tara Brach video Relaxing into the Present a few times
What was your experience like? I found it very relaxing, it helped me to fully focus on being
Anything else you want to add? Again I like to mention that this is a wonderful idea of your's!
Hey how is it going? Would love to hear about your experience and if you had any insights or struggles. ❤️ There's a check in post that I made in this thread.

Here is a post with mindfulness meditations as well, if you struggle to find something.

@Sunthruclouds Hi, it's Tas. For me, meditation includes closing my computer tightly. I have to get away from the screen and just sit and close my eyes.
I actually had a revelatory vision during my meditations that included themes of my relationship with my mom (who is deceased) and my occupation (which as as a teacher, mostly in child development centers, but also in schools). Through the meditations, I was able to see more of the nexus of conflict between my working job and my responsibility as a daughter and mother. It was clear to me that meditation served a valuable purpose in my life for integration and a feeling of peace.
@VioletVeritas
Hi, Tas.
Closing the computer and digitally detoxing is part of my mindfulness routine as well. I can relate.
Sounds like you had a good experience and that it provided you with insights and clarity?
Thank you for sharing about your visions and how meditation has served a purpose in your life. It can be helpful for others to learn about the benefits meditation can have in our life. I'm happy you are participating. ❤️
@Sunthruclouds Thank you for reaching out! I replied to the check-in above. I will add though that I agree with Branch that following my breath like the waves of the ocean is soothing. I love the ocean.
