Gratitude can boost our mental health and also our well - being. It will also help use reduce stress where it is needed. Such practices like saying thank you or your welcome or even journal writing may boost our well being.

Gratitude is when we focus on a positive area of our life, when we practice gratitude we are encouraged to focus from what is lacking to what we have at the moment. 

Examples of practicing gratitude:

Journal writing - practice 3 things each day your grateful for. They do not have to be big things it can also be the smallest thing we did that day

express gratitude to others - when we say excuse me if we are walking in an isle at the store or saying thank you can go along way to someone who maybe having a bad day 

practice mindfulness - when you may feel stressed calmly close your eyes and do breathing exercises to calm your nerves

Thank you for making gratitude a topic again! Often the importance of gratitude is not acknowledged enough. There is so much research work about the fact that grateful people live happier lives!

What are some ways you practice gratitude to yourself and to others? 

I always say thank you to others but also to myself and listen to gratitude affirmations. When I watch the news, I feel great gratitude for all the people like fire fighters, medical staff etc.
