...See more NOTE: Please don't post to this thread. Subscribe to this thread and you will get a notification when we update this thread. Hey there! Here is a list of all the Leadership Development Program (LDP) mentors that we will regularly update. You can check here to see who is available for what leadership role and what coursework role. You can reach out to them during your LDP journey for any questions accordingly. At 7cups we encourage breaks, as self-care is a priority, therefore from time to time our LDP Mentors go on breaks, so this post will keep you up to date with these changes. If you don't see a name in the list, that means they are no longer LDP mentor. LDP Mentors who are ACTIVE are colored green, while those who are ON-BREAK are colored red. If a mentor is marked green and they do not respond to you within 3 days, please let me [http://www.7cups.com/@FrenchToastClub] know. All of our active LDP mentors are expected to keep up a 3 day response time. ---> Provide positive or constructive feedback about any academy mentor you have interacted with through the 7 Cups Academy Mentor Review form. 📞Open the mentor review form here [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf2XnrHWY9kCWIuRyfrEyODlTnHTJOnk0HQ22orLGRneCorVg/viewform] ---> Acknowledge/appreciate a mentor's work by nominating them for an Academy Award.  🏆Open Academy Awards nomination form here [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeEZIVi3mnziP54xaUoWYZVzI5Xmzg_BcNpKwdE_ac-Hr7BSA/viewform] ________________________________________________________________________________________________ What can an LDP mentor help you with? They have specific responsibilities and are only available in regard to their own tasks like leadership role update or answering questions about any mentor roles that qualify for passing with honors in the LDP. What can an LDP Ambassador help you with? They are available to help you with any graduation-related queries or any certification-related questions. It is a learning opportunity based on the teachings of the book ‘Get Together: How to Build a Community with Your People [https://www.amazon.com/Get-Together-build-community-people/dp/1732265194].' The book is written by authors who are experts on community building. We encourage anyone who is interested in community building and management to read the book but it's optional. We have studied the book and summarized the key lessons and their 7 Cups applications. The course will go on for 4 weeks, each week we will look at the findings of two chapters and how the principle knowledge can be applied to 7 Cups. Each week's learning will be accompanied by a quiz to test the knowledge! In order to receive your certificate and the Community Builder badge, you need to complete all quizzes (80% or over-score in all + no copy/pasting for essay questions), and submit the evaluation form. Failure to submit the evaluation form will result in no certificate or badge. Note: Each quiz contains a field where we ask you to apply some of the chapter's teachings. These are essay questions so they are not auto-graded however if a user is found to be copy/pasting the answers to satisfy the word count or not putting in the effort to come up with a relevant answer then the person will not receive a certificate or a badge. This is not a mandatory course so if you choose to take part then please try to study the notes and be honest in your answers. It is the only way to learn! Note:  If you intend to use Artificial Intelligence tools to help you fulfill any of the course’s requirements, you are expected to adhere to our AI policy. You can read it here. ...See more What is the Leadership Development Program? The 7 Cups Leadership Development Program is designed to help you become a strong leader. The program includes content components (reading, watching videos, and passing quizzes to show mastery of knowledge) and practice components. There is a learning by doing practical component where you practice what you learn by serving in a community domain alongside other leaders in either the engagement or quality programs. You will receive a badge for the completion of each course and Leadership Studies Certificate upon completion of the entire program. What can I expect to learn? The program takes a personal approach and starts with helping you identify and build upon your natural gifts and strengths. It then transitions to focusing on the core discipline of problem-solving. The next course focuses on specific interpersonal skills needed to be a strong leader on 7 Cups, including mastery of communication skills, time management, conflict resolution, and stress management. The fourth course helps you learn how to build community through group support and sub-community work on 7 Cups. The last course provides an overview of servant leadership and other foundational leadership principles. What is the goal of the program? Our goals: 1. recruit more leaders 2. provide more leadership training for current leaders to help us better scale-up care for our community. Who can apply? The program is open to listeners AND members! If you're interested in becoming a 7 Cups leader, we want to empower you! How does it work? This program doubles as an introduction to leadership and your road to leadership experience. There is usually reading or a video, followed by questions and activities to demonstrate your understanding of the material. We ask you to do your best here and please be as descriptive and thoughtful as you can with your response. A badge is awarded for passing each course after you fill out a Course Evaluation. >Leadership Roles The other goal of this program is to introduce you to 7 Cups leadership and help you find the right role (or roles) for you! Announcing our New Leadership Development Program!

September 22nd, 2020
...See more Hi all! Hope you all are well! I'm writing today with an exciting update. As many of you know, we have long had two tracks of volunteer roles on 7 Cups: listeners and leaders. At present, we have 411,000 volunteer trained listeners and over 1,000 community leaders. We have spent years building out our listener training program. If you go to our training tab (https://www.7cups.com/listener/training.php), you'll see that we have 66 courses that you can take to strengthen core listener skills as well as learn how to better help people facing specific issues or challenges. These courses are really good too. We just had our Psychological First Aid course audited by a third party and it came off as strong and meeting their requirements. I suspect most of our courses would pass any sort of third-party auditing process. On that same page, you can click on the blue certification button at the top to look at the more in-depth Active Listening 1-10 certificate programs we provide as well. In addition to these programs, we also provide internship programs for many universities. I'm proud of our curriculum. What I love most about it is that we can provide it at no cost. It is 100% free. I think that is fantastic. We are now starting the process of building out a leadership training program. We are hoping to train 160 new leaders and many more as new opportunities emerge (check out these slides [https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/10oh0pBR1rt9C6tMAhRvjF1TfgAEHbyDQyimizN4hdfU/edit#slide=id.g8aabae01b3_1_101] for a list of roles and opportunities to serve). We are calling it the Leadership Development Program. If you scroll down on that same page, then you'll see a new Header and links to the overview and first few courses in this program. When we started 7 Cups (way back in 2013!) we only had the very first active listener course that you all take. Now we have 66 courses. The same will happen with the leadership domain and then eventually other domains as the needs and training opportunities arise. I've included more information on the overall program below. Our goal is to recruit more leaders, provide more leadership training for current leaders, and launch new leadership programs to help us better scale up care for our community. If you are interested in becoming a leader on 7 Cups, then please sign up [http://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScFeU5WrT04UvHHn3FDi_0g-XL2ja3Dzh694i9EEUzSM8z3SQ/viewform]here [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScFeU5WrT04UvHHn3FDi_0g-XL2ja3Dzh694i9EEUzSM8z3SQ/viewform]. [http://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScFeU5WrT04UvHHn3FDi_0g-XL2ja3Dzh694i9EEUzSM8z3SQ/viewform] We will start the first cohort in July (the 7/10 Cohort) and will notify you when we are ready to go. Our goal is to complete one course per month. We encourage everyone interested to apply asap, the deadline for the course is 7/10. The application process will remain open even after however you will join the next cohort (8/1/2020) if you miss the deadline. Thoughts and feedback welcome! Glen Leadership Development Program The 7 Cups Leadership Development Program is designed to help you become a strong leader.
