Hello Leadership Crew!
I am having a blast with you all. This leadership program is a lot of fun and Im glad we are doing it. I think itll help across many fronts. Shout out to @aleks2 and @quietmagic for their help looking at the first batch of results on our leadership composition. ÃÂ
Here is a summary:
Here is a summary from @quietmagic on what our collective - all of us together - strengths and weaknesses might be:
Leadership Crew Strengths:
Altruism/motivation: Having a deep passion for helping people that drives all we do and creates a feeling of purpose and meaning
Idealism: Having inspiring dreams and visions of just how unbelievably powerful and beneficial this site can be: imagining all of the good we might be able to create, all of the suffering we might be able to help heal
Kindness: Being able to create a kind, cooperative, culture that is gentle and considerate with people's feelings
Compassion: Being able to understand, connect with, and feel an urgency to resolve the needs, concerns, or problems of the people that we serve
Relationship: Feeling a yearning for deep, meaningful connections with others, creating a community where people are able to be authentic and feel a sense of belongingness
Leadership Crew Weaknesses
Practical implementation: Developing and optimizing systems, managing the fine details for concretely achieving our broad goals
Risk-taking: Being willing to take risks or make drastic changes to existing systems/practices where needed
The above analysis feels/seems right to me. This new leadership program in fact can be seen as one way that we are attempting to address a growth area by optimizing our leadership systems! And, zooming back, if there was going to be a team of people that was going to try to pull off the impossible (a free emotional support system), then I think itd be with the leadership composition described above under strengths. Itll take a lot of optimism and kindness to make this a reality!
Okay, lets transition to the next exercise and discussion.
Begin by taking the Big 5 test and answering the following questions. You can also read more on the Big 5 here ÃÂ and below.
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?

3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
After fulfilling the requirements of this post, please check out the next post here! You must take part in the brainstorming/activities given in all of these posts to successfully complete the program.
This post is brought to you by the Leadership Development Program Team, find out more information about the program here.

1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
From taking The Big 5 test I learnt that I am a lot more extraverted than I thought. Whilst I knew I was an extraverted person, I thought I was as equally introverted. According to The Big 5 test, though, I am on the 79th percentile for Extraversion, meaning about 79 percent of people in the comparison sample are less extarverted than me.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
I am well-organized, reliable and tend to consider the feelings of others.
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
On The Big 5 test I scored high for "extraversion", meaning I tend to be sociable, friednly and talkative. This can help me in my personal life as it means I am good at making connections with different people, further expanding my friendships.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
One of the strengths identified with the MBTI test is that I have excellent people skills. I think this is vital to have as a leader on 7Cups as you are constantly interacting with other people. The Big 5 test highlighted that I am high-scorer for "conscientiousness", meaning I am well-organized and reliable. This is an important skill for leaders on 7Cups as you are working as part of a team to reach certain goals, and will have certain expectations of you in order to help the team reach that goal and so people are dependent on you.
1. What were the main things you learned about yourself?
I have taken the big 5 personality test a long while back as well. The results seem to be a bit different this time. I have scored very high on Openness which isn't surprising to me, I am open to new things that come my way and enjoy seeing things in a new way. I am surprised to see that for Conscientiousness, I am a bit on the lower side. I tend to be disorganized, undependable, and negligent. The test says I do things somewhat haphazardly. I will be honest, I don't really agree with it. I tend to be in the middle for Extraversion which is in alignment with me being an ambivert. I am high in Agreeableness meaning I am considerate about the feelings of others. For Neuroticism/Negative Feelings, I tend to get anxious and nervous easily which is very true. I have been ranked particularly very high in neuroticism in the past.
2. What are your top 3 strengths according to this test?
(i) I am open to new experiences
(ii) I am considerate about the feelings of others
(iii) I am comfortable being around people as I am social, I am also comfortable being alone at times which helps in striking a good balance
3. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in your personal life?
I can make conversation with just about anyone since I am social and open to hearing from anybody. I am enthusiastic and eager to form new connections, being fairly considerate about the feelings of others I come across - this makes me a person who can be good to be around. I am also curious about various things while not being judgemental at all which makes me a good person to get along and provides with insights that really come in handy.
4. How can the strengths you identified on both tests help you in a leadership role on 7 Cups and in your career?
On 7 Cups, it helps me in being able to communicate very nicely with both listeners and members. I am curious about the updates on the site so it helps me in being informed about various changes taking place on the site! I am open to new experiences with my roles and happy to expand and be of much better help to people.
In my career, it will help me to connect more with my peers and form great connections. It will help me better support the people I will listen to and help. I will be able to make strong associations with people who are already established in the field and be open to grow and learn from them.
You can't give your life more time, so give the time you have, more life.
@lueurspace
It's amazing to see that you have awesome qualities of being a good leader. I love your personality. It's good to see you are open minded person and you can make conversations easily with people. As well as you seems helpful and kind too. Wishing you good luck for your leadership roles 😃
@GlenM
1. I learned lots of things about me. And it really surprised me. Like, I know I am an introvert but in the results it shows me that I enjoy spending time alone rather than being in the group of lots of people. And I guess it's true. I am down to earth. I tend to think about others and to take care about their feelings. And yeh it's absolutely true that sometimes I am really nervous and anxious.
2. My strengths are-: kindness, helpful and self- disciplined
3. It will really help me a lot in my life. Like I can focus on the things which I need to improve. Moreover, I will try to think about my strengths and how to make the best use of it in any work. Whenever I will feel low or demotivate I will think about my strengths which can help to make me feel motivate that I have some strengths too and I can do it 😃
4. I guess it will help me in being more kind and helpful towards people. And I try to be more creative and imaginative. 😊
And these tests are really awesome to know about yourself moremore. Thanks❤
