If you don't have the book, then you can download it for free on Amazon here. If you do not have access to Amazon please download it here. Once done reading, post here to earn the soul searcher  badge.

1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
The introduction compels you to leave all the facade behind and sit calm at a place stripping off all the layers. It wants you to start thinking from the slate wiped clean and keep your mind as open as possible and welcome changes
2. What was  most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?  Â
The most important lesson I learned is to have the heart acknowledge the pain. It's about not judging yourself for the problems you have. It's about seeking help if you feel the need to.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
We need to develop a genuine sense of trust and affinity to create a warm zone where an individual can speak without the fear of being judged for the nature of his/her problem. It's about providing the kindness and love they themselves are not able to provide to themselves.
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
I loved the poem, it was so encouraging and calming and just simply put a smile on my face, I mean what was there not to love?
2. What was the most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?
I love that it was all based on trust, love and hope. it was such a nice message that reall hit home to me. The bit about pushing people away is something i know so many people do and sometimes do myself and it really resignated with me. Remembering there is a community to help like 7 cups is very comforting to think
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
This really just is the message of 7 cups isnt it? As I once explained to a member, everyone here is just a bunch of broken parts but togther we can create a beutiful mosaic of the broken parts tied togther by this trust and willingness to grow and this makes us belong to this community. We are stronger together as this big picture than alone 💕
@GlenM
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
One thing that stuck with me is that personal growth is not easy
2. What was  most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?
It is important to confide in others. We need one another to grow, learn and flourish.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
By understanding that we all have needs and being there for each other helps us grow. Its not a weakness to ask for help, but a sign of courage and strength
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
The three main items stuck out to me, especially number one, “We believe in you. Maybe you don’t see your potential, maybe you hide your promise, or maybe you make life more difficult than it needs to be. It doesn’t matter. We still believe in you. You can grow through these challenges and get to the other side. We’ve seen lots and lots of people just like you do it. We believe you can do it too.
It always nice to hear that people believe in you. This is a big message on 7 Cups, I have read that throughout this leadership course, I have seen the community continually support and believe in one another.
2. What was the most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora.
The most important lesson I learned was asking for help is healing. I related to this because I have felt societal pressures of not asking for help and trying to solve my issues on my own, and in the end, it really just caused things to get worse. When it said that the most resilient group was the ones that were vulnerable and reached out for help. It reminded me of when Brene Brown talks about vulnerability and if we numb our negative feelings, we also numb out love, joy, happiness, etc.
How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
I think we model asking for help, let others know that it is okay to ask for help by encouraging them. I struggle in this area so it will be very important to ask for help and reassure myself it is completely normal to ask. Some quotes that I have written down to remind of this are:
"We don't have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to." - Brené Brown.
“When you judge yourself for needing help, you judge those you are helping. When you attach value to giving help, you attach value to needing help. The danger of tying your self-worth to being a helper is feeling shame when you have to ask for help. Offering help is courageous and compassionate, but so is asking for help.” Brené Brown.
“Somehow we’ve come to equate success with not needing anyone. Many of us are willing to extend a helping hand, but we’re very reluctant to reach out for help when we need it ourselves. It’s as if we’ve divided the world into “those who offer help” and “those who need help.” The truth is that we are both.” Brené Brown.

3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
We have the potential to change and grow. We can do it- we just have to believe in ourselves and take those small steps. Anyone can grow and be better, it is possible. We have to let go of the past and start afresh, start afresh with this book, start a fresh new chapter, journey, day.
We need each other to grow and heal. We cant do it on our own. Working together is important which means, we need to care for each other and love each other. We cant heal on our own and isolate ourselves. When we have problems and are in need of help and we reach other, receiving that help then we can do the same for others. This way, everyone is growing, healing and learning.
Probably, lead by example. With every help, show how our weakness is actually our strength as it only makes us stronger and even more admired. So to get to the top, reach out for help, grow from it and provide it to others.People will see and learn from you with your positive attitude.
@Dazzle28purvi Excellent note about starting a fresh! I like idea of working together and showing by example.
@Dazzle28purvi great answer!
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
The introduction moved me to read the rest of the book, and that was interesting because at first I didn't think I would read the book in one go.
2. What was most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?
That sometimes the people who appear to have it all together are hurting the most
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
it's pretty comfortable for me to ask for help but I need to be comfortable providing help to people who are hurting as well.
@thelastiger Totally agree on that it makes to feel the book is easy to read and makes feel you want to read this book.
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?
1. The one thing that stood out to me in the introduction was believe- believe in yourself. There ares situations we all undergo but we are trying our best and it be more potent to believe in ourself.
2. What was most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?
2. The most important lesson learnt was that asking and receiving help is the most difficult but would be the most rewarding. Each culture and nation have ways and reasons to cope but reaching out is a great way to overcome obstacles.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?
3. We can learn and help others to get more comfortable with the idea of asking for help or experiencing need by being more caring and compassionate. By being non-judgement and compassionate can give the person confidence to reach out. Compassionate listening and care will increase positivity, allowing the person to cope and reach out.
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction?: That we all have our different journeys & it is okay to live at our own pace.
2. What was the most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)?: Firstly, it sounded to me much like the pandemic situation that we all faced this whole year of 2020. How people suffered due to their fear of covid19 and strategies they followed to overcome their fear, etc. Secondly, I learned that masking our problems & avoiding them might help us for a short period but not in a long run. To get rid of our problems, we need to work on them. And even if we have to ask for help for that purpose, we shouldn't be hesitant.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger?: We need to make people comfortable while they talk to us about their problems. Comfort brings trust within it. If a person trusts you, he/she won't think twice to share their issues with you and ask for your help.
@lyricalAngel70
Love that you link it to our current situation, I agree!
@herealways27
I highly appreciate your comment and your taking out time to read my response. Have a great year ahead, Stay Safe. ❤💙
1 that everyone's jountry is diffrent and that you need to be with people that Believes in you. It ok to go at your own pace. Path toward personal gains or growth is not always going to be easy you just need to find a path that works the best for you,
2 you need to have trust hope and love to make a diffrent In your earth. I think acept problems and weaknesses is better for growing as a person and not paying attention to problem will makes things. More hard on you or your team.
3 I think leading by example will help other teammates see it's ok to ask for help. Making a place that welcoming asking for help and open door rule that let them come when they need help or open Communication is a must when helping people learn it's ok to ask for help.
@GlenM
1. What was the thing that stood out to you most in the introduction? The introduction felt really warm and welcoming and validating. It felt very accepting and genuinely acknowledged that we are all trying our best and making the best decisions we know how to make. This warmth and kindness stood out to me most.
2. What was most important lesson you learned from the story of Ancora (Chapter 1)? There's a clear difference between hiding from negative feelings/experiences and dealing with them. And while the former might seem easier (or we might not notice we're doing it at all) it doesn't help anywhere near as much as the latter. And that's not to say that we don't take care of ourselves, just that we deal with it in a constructive manner — through human care and compassion. And we cannot receive these things without acknowledging that it really is okay to ask for help, we're allowed to do that.
3. How can we learn and help others get more comfortable with the idea that asking for help - or experiencing need - is a strength or a skill that we need to develop to help one another grow stronger? We can offer our help and let people know that we really are okay with them asking for help. For friends and such, we can put out that we will be there for them if they ever need us, and it's the same on 7Cups. Of course, boundaries must be there, but by having an open and warm feeling towards other people and letting them know that it's okay to talk, this can shift away some of the fear.
@GlitteringNights
So thoughtfully expressed ! Loved the idea of having boundaries yet being open and gentle with others ❤
