Abby's ponderings, poems, and rants
I am going to post some of my ponderings and poems that I write on my feed from yime to time here, as well. Everyone is welcome to read and reply! I will occcasionally have some rants here, also ,,, but I ysyally try to keep those to a minimum and I don't really swear or use known trigger language in those ... if I'm afraid any of my entries on this thread will contain a trigger subjuect, I will put a warning at the top of the post.
Also ... if anyone replying is prone to using abusive language, or s.e.x. talk or malicious innuendos with the intent of trolling - you should not post a reply because I will likely flag it ... just saying.
I consider writing a hobby for me, and I would like to share this with all of you!

you are really awesome Abby, i love how you write and express the things.
A small act of kindness brightens our day and remembering those good times help us. A hug and a shoulder to rest and speak is all we need.These people who stay in contact and stay by our side are really the superheros for us.
In any kind of relationship, whether it is friendship or otherwise ... the time it takes to build trust could take as long, or longer than building a glass sculpture. Do you want to know how much time it takes to BREAK that trust?
It takes ages to build trust and just seconds, or fractions of them, to break it. Putting together the pieces of a broken glass statue can take even longer than it took to build it up in the first place, and sometimes ... it can never be rebuilt.
@AbbyHarris1976
Thanks for this one. i always think of all the fallen friendships in my life, that it was difficult initially to talk, but then i trusted them. But as days passed, they just broke my trust and it was just another fallen friendship only like a series probably. It takes so much time to build trust as its the foundation rock for any relationship or friendship, but people sometimes doesnt care and that really hurts. I hope the one stable friendship that i have in my life, its goes on and is guided by mutual trust and compassion always.
Dont be afraid to blush, and dont be afraid to make me blush.
When I blush at a compliment offered me or kind words, it is not because you are hurting me. No, it is because you have touched me deeply inside and caused my happiness to overflow and spill over like lava from a volcano.
You bring happiness that causes me to smile and glow from the inside out, so when I blush at your thoughtful and kind words, that inner glow shines out brightly from deep inside me.
Your kindness and thoughtfulness makes the most delicate flowers bloom in the middle of the Chicago winter.
@AbbyHarris1976 Very nice! Makes me look at blushing differently
What is my depression like?
My depression is like a cold, manipulative scorpion. Hiding under a damp rock in a swamp of despair that I find myself sinking in.
The scorpion sneaks inside, during a moment of my trust and weakness. Should I trust you?
The scorpion slowly crawls up my spine, into my heart, into my mind, into my soul in its deepest recesses. Should I open up to you?
If I let you in, can I trust you not to sting? I know your poison will burn and corrode like acid, coursing everywhere within me spreading outward from within. I know your poison will disfigure me and everything I see and experience.
No, I will not let you in.
People have forgotten what it means to be truly loved and how to truly love in today's world.
Why is this? Could it be because today's romantic relationships are more about momentary and short-lived pleasure (sometimes at the expense of and pain of the other person) rather than actually loving and caring about them?
In your relationships ... what happens when you're feeling hurt and you cry? The days where your partner would gently embrace you while you cry in their shoulder and tell you that they are with you every step of the way, no matter how painful it is seem to be replaced with them coldly telling you to stop making such a big deal about it before walking out of your life completely, forming a terrible void in your life that devours you from the inside out.
Truly loving and caring about someone is making them smile when you know they've had a rough day. Truly loving someone is also working together to free each other from the fears that bind each other rather than leaving you to fight the fear by yourself or even becoming fear (by being abusive).
So ... this is my two cents. Thank you for reading!
IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Listening is a gentle art as well as an important skill. A good listener is always gentle. A good listener does not prejudge. A good listener is also a caregiver.
A good listener cares not about their rating, but does care about their members and considers them friends - not just jobs to be done and done with.
A good listener reaches out to members and is grateful for their appreciation. They do not look down with false pity on their members.
I have been fortunate to have several listener FRIENDS here. π I am very thankful and grateful to them because they are truly good listeners. I believe there will be a time when all listeners and members will be in fellowship here. π

Abby whenever you want, message me.. hugs...
They may be many people who are are grateful, or say they are grateful for, the pain and hardship in their lives.
How many of you, however, are grateful when someone - a loved one or even a stranger - thanks you heartily for helping and supporting them in their time of hardship?
For some, not showing gratitude for their heartfelt thanks is like invalidating their gratitude to you ... which is showing NO gratitude. So let
@AbbyHarris1976
thats true.. at least to give things a bit of closure, and let the person know you got the message and It mattered to you..
