What video game has helped you escape?

So basically, which game in your life has helped you deal with things like depression, anxiety, or anything?

For me, Pokemon helped me escape during my childhood. As I got older, RPGs like Skyrim really helped me get through stuff by providing an outlet and distraction. How about you guys?

Loren Amazon Princess was the most recent one for me. There's one character, Mesphit, who is half possessed by a demon and the way they handled that really touched me. All the characters are amazing though. Other games have helped as well.

Someone else mentioned Undertale and that one helped me a lot too. Flowey especially made me feel like I was less alone with my emotional disconnect.

Yume Nikki is fun too but in a completely diffirent way. It's so interpretive that in the end it will always be a personal opinion what it's about. But in any case I thought it was a super therapeutic game, if somewhat terrifying at times.

Ori in the Blind Forest is my new favorite game! It's absolutely beautiful! The world the creators made is amazing! Play it! <3

Star Wars Battlefront is a great way to escape if you like playing against other people online; You'll forget about all your problems and face the one directly in front of you: That AT-AT XD

I haven't personally played it, but I've heard Journey and Flower are both good.

Shadow of the Colossus was beautiful, too.

Three games right now: Star Wars: The Old Republic, Skyrim and Star Trek: Timelines. The first two get me into a world that just allows me to escape it all. The last one helps me focus on getting m "dream" crew.

That Star Trek:Timelines game sounds cool, do you know if it's available on Xboxone?

@Metal40 Sorry for the delay in responding. Not on Xbox or consoles, but is on mobile and iPod devices. It's just a simple game really. Helps if you pay a bit for some premium currency as well (I only have Rank 2 in the game for buying some). If you check the company's site- Disruptor Beam it can point you to what to do. Also, it's on Facebook if you have a PC. :)

@MoonBeast

Thanks for the reply! I'm a Star Trek fan so this does interest me. I'll have to check it out. By the way, cool name! Is it taken from the works of H.P. Lovecraft?
