What are your favorite video games and why?
Hello everybody!
My name is Andrew and I am a listener here on 7 Cups of Tea. I just found this forum section and thought it would be a great opportunity to start to get involved in conversation with other gamers.
So my question to you is: what are your favorite video games and why are they your favorite? They can be for any system, including the system in your response would be even more awesome! I personally game on my PS3 and my recently bought PS4.
Here is a list of some of the games I like to play:
Grand Theft Auto V - Though this game has violent aspects to it, I really love the online play. The constant competition is something that keeps me busy and the race for money and power keeps me intrigued. I really love the immense amount of customization and immersement that the game allows because I can truly enjoy role playing in that whole world. I recently started playing on PS4 which opened it up to so much more and I really do enjoy it.
Battlefield 3 - While this may be a bit outdated with the releases of Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1, I still really love this game. I still play on the PS3 so the servers are not always full but the maps and the gameplay are really fun. I love the teamwork that is in Battlefield as a whole and the actual tactic used as opposed to the wild play of other games like Call of Duty.
Fallout 4 - I have not actually played this game a ton yet but I enjoy what I've done so far. I played a bit with a friend on his system and liked the gameplay so I bought it when I got my PS4. I tried it with some of the mods but I am going to stick to normal, vanilla gameplay for now to just see how the game goes.
Counter Strike: Global Offensive - I actually play this game on PC but I don't have a great one so I don't get to play often. I find the playerbase hilarious and I think it is just a fun fps game.
Little Big Planet 2- This is the final one on the list, I have this game for PS3 and I have to say, I really enjoy playing the custom maps people do. They tend to put a lot of work and humor into it which just makes it a fun game to play in my spare time.
I am excited to hear from you all about your favorites!

Call of duty- it’s fun to agrivate people on there when they get beat lol Sea of thieves- love the open world and the graphics are insane with the ocean. RDR2, GTAV One game I miss is Need for Speed Most Wanted
Fallout, for its immersion
Pokémon, for its strategy and for being there during hard times in my life
red dead redemption 2, for its immersion and for the horses; my mom passed away this past weekend and she loved all animals, especially horses. Feels good and honors her memory to ride some, even virtual ones.
Assassins creed
Ghost of Tsushima for its immersion and unique gameplay
Overwatch, as a certain character in the game is very similar to a best friend of mine.
skyrim, oblivion, morrowind, they are quite the escape.
planet coaster and rollercoaster tycoon, I love roller coasters and amusement parks and trying to make my own is fun and challenging.
I also really enjoy Mario galaxy. It's one of the first video games I played and I will never forget how much fun I had playing it as a kid. I think I got the game at 8 or 9 and played it for years. It was enjoyable then and it's still enjoyable now. I could go on about this and many other games but it would never end :)
I am currently enjoying Cyberpunk 2077.
The stories are good and Night City has amazing graphics.
One of my favorite games is Left 4 Dead 2 and I can't wait for the sequel Back 4 Blood in October. I like games that encourage people to work together as a team. Most players understand that it's not about winning, it's making sure that everybody on your team escapes the zombies.
Hello (:
my favourite games...
my number one is Pokemon Diamand edition... it was the first RPG I played and it was kind of an addiction. For me its just childhood :)
second is definitely Overwatch for the PS4. I love that there is a hero for everyone and you can always learn to play a new Character. Also Its my way to connect with some of my friends and sisters. I found new people to play with and with some Im also just chatting sometimes. When nobody is online I can also play it alone ^^ There are so many different modes, you can even make your own games with your own rules (:
@Andrew1137
recently i've gotten super back into obscure horror games as well as the final fantasy franchise and rhythm games! i've also dabbled back into comfort media such as scooby doo and spongebob squarepants so some the games they released
the ones i've been playing most are ffxiv, muse dash, and watching playthroughs of illbleed.
It really depends on the platform. I like bloodborne a lot on PS4, Super Mario galaxy on Nintendo Switch, and a lot more on PC: RDR2, Witcher 3, Dark Souls 2, and many others. And I guess there's an additional subcategory within PC- browser games. The number of games here is huge, though this website has lots of my favs https://www.manamonster.com/two-players
Sea of thieves, good way to kick back and not many pirate games out there.
Overwatch, i main as Tracer mostly because she reminds me of a friend I know in real life that means the world to me.
Pokemon, it has always been the one constant thing that has been there when everything else is gone.
Ghost of Tsushima, the haikus in that game make me emotional.
MTG Arena, good way to play Magic the Gathering especially if you are new to it, that and a best friend of mine is a Magic player.
Rollercoaster Tycoon/Planet Coaster, helped me become a coaster enthusiast and another constant that stays when everything else is gone.
Mario Kart, certain best friends of mine love this game and brings back memories of a better time.
Assassins Creed, can’t stand authoritarianism/totalitarianism, feels good to stick it to the in game version of both.
Assassin's Creed hits on a whole different level, honestly.
But somehow, AC - Rogue took me to another dimension, looking at things from the opposite side.
I bounce between games a LOT but some of my long-standing staples are: The Elder Scrolls franchise, the Sims franchise, Animal Crossing, and Stardew Valley.
@BrokenBee1317 And I somehow forgot to mention Pokemon
Not many games beat Elder Scrolls in terms of open world experience, absolutely true.
But one game series that i found close to this was Middle Earth - Shadow of Mordor and it's sequel Shadow of War.
I really enjoy playing dead by daylight with friends or hunt showdown. But when I have alone time sims or just relaxing games.
My favorite games I like playing are Ghost recon Wildlands and Breakpoint. I like testing my ability of being stealthy and taking down a whole base no alarms no one on my team dies and getting the bragging right of saying I took all your stuff and you didn’t even see me do it.
Love playing Division and Division2 kinda resembles what we had to all deal with and I loved being the one who stopped the bad guys.
Warframe story line is good and it’s changing not always doing the same missions and making my Warframe is neat , you’d have to play to understand.
