My reason is to end the killing of animals.

When I was 14 I decided I was no longer willing to contribute to the death and suffering of animals. I have now been vegetarian for over 25 years.

I became vegan not only because of animal rights, but because of my health. I had too many health problems weighing me down because of my diet.

There are so many long term health benefits, and simple substitutes for protein that it just seemed stupid not to. Also I've never liked the idea of eating any animal/bug, etc. people have told me it's dumb to be vegetarian to save animals because something has to die for you to eat it but that's just not true. You don't have to pull a plant up by the roots to eat a strawberry, you don't have to cut down a tree get a banana, you don't have to kill a cow to get milk/cheese. Tell me if I'm wrong but this just makes more sense to me.

@Shailaa21

-Try "veganizing" your favorite recipes. There are lot's of free recipes online for vegan black bean balls instead of meatballs. Veggie burgers are easy to make and you can start by buying them pre-made at the grocery store if you want something really easy.

-You can replace eggs in baking with applesauce, vegetable puree, flax meal "eggs", chia seed "eggs" etc.

-Nutritional yeast tastes cheesy and can add a cheesy flavor to home made nut cheeses, cheese sauces, popcorn and it has B12.

I saw a post on my Instagram feed since back then my friend and I were into you know anti- Yulin dog meat festival and animal rescue programs against (euthanasia), so suddenly my search blew up with vegan quotes, posts, info. I stumbled apon a video by one of the biggest vegan promoting accounts, it was horrifying. You can never remember the feeling and relationship you had with meat and other animal products after you watch it.

I mean I've always known the animal is killed but eating meat came so easily for my family and basically everyone around me, I never actually thought who, what, where, when, why? It really tinkers with my mind and judgement how I thought it was okay, how I thought I was healthy. And just like that my mindset shifted and I didn't eat meat. As I further educated myself on factory farming, grass fed, humane I realized no animal us more or less important that we are all equal. I went vegan in a heartbeat. It's all about education on health, environmental effects, morals, and sentient beings. I've been vegan since February 4 2016 and I'm never going back.

i hope this wasn't to deep of an expansion
