β Check this post if you want to be added to the tag list!
Yay, I got tagged!
1 - I'm supposed to sleep right now but I'm not sleepy.
2 - nope
3 - Date plant and orange plant.
4 - Problably the ones that are easy to grow in my country like cherry tomatoes , corn, etc.
5 - it's just so exciting to watch the plants grow and it represents how fast or slow time grows and it teaches me to be patient I guess.
For number 3, I meant date plant and lime... Not orange plantπ€£
Hey @Aileen1114117 βΊοΈπ thanks for answering! π¦π
Haha well I'm glad I could keep you company for a few minutes! :)
OoOooh date and limes! I'd love to have a go at limes but I doubt they'd do very well here π€£ - what wonderful things to grow! Have you come across any challenges you didn't expect whilst growing them? :)
I love cherry tomatoes! So tasty π have you had a go at tomatoes before?
Love that, it really does require patience (which I'm not great at π ) all things take time regardless of how quick we want it! ππ¦
I don't think I have any challenges while growing themπ.
I once tried to plant the tomato seeds but the tomato seeds don't grow so I put the lime seed insteadπ .
Another wonderful post @WorriedMagpie ! πΏ
That quote is really beautiful βοΈ
3 - What are you growing right now ? :D
Some anemones in a little hedgehog pot :) and some baby lavenders
4 - What would you grow in your perfect garden ?
Foxgloves! loads of foxgloves! or maybe a sea of bluebells :)
5 - What do you enjoy most about gardening?
Being in nature away from notifications
@Lou73
Thanks Lou ππ¦ and thankyou for answering!
And yeah I though so too βΊοΈ
:0 apparently I didn't know what an anemone was! (I was thinking the sea creature π€¦π€£) what pretty flowers they look so delicate, and I love the hedgehog pot ππ¦ and lavenders too! I bet the bees love your garden π
Ooh I love foxgloves they're so pretty, I had one growing outside my window last year it must have been at least 6ft tall! What a pretty perfect garden π reminds me of an old English cottage βΊοΈπ¦π
Yess! Putting down the phone isn't easy π nature definitely makes that easier I'm glad your enjoying you garden ! ππ¦
P.s I must see pics of said hedgehog pot :<
@WorriedMagpie Hey :)
Feeling - down
Started harvesting potatoes over the weekend
Started some peas and planted carrots and broccoli and cauliflower. They do ok as the weather gets cooler as fall gets closer
Sweet corn! We've tried for a few years to grow sweet corn here but being in the woods it doesn't do so good :(
There's alittle thrill watching things start to sprout. Plus I like being able to provide for myself
Thank you for the check in. Take care
@mytwistedsoul
I'm sorry to hear that twisted you've always been so kind to me, I hope you have somebody there to do the same for you π
Are you feeling any more positive today? π
:0 I didn't realise you could still start veggies at this time of year π± honestly I have no idea about food growing just learning from you and all the peeps on here! - oooh broccoli! Love broccoli in my stir fries π do you have a favourite dish you use them in?
Oooh! Sweetcorn love it ! - yeah I think I've only seen them in fields π€ guess there a little more sun loving? - buuut have you heard about the sweetcorn fungus that grows with excessive wetness? Is apparently a delicacy and worth a bit more too, if you sell any harvest I'll try and find a link I bet you'll find it interesting either way ππ¦
There so is π man it's such an overused question but at the same time, nothing beats that feeling !
And you βΊοΈThankyou for being here ππ¦
@WorriedMagpie Thank you for your reply β€οΈ Today is alittle better Thank you
There are some things that prefer the cooler temps as they get closer to havest. For some reason broccoli doesn't really like too much heat and makes them start to seed with out giving anything to harvest - kind of weird lol. I love stir fry and broccoli I can eat just about anyway lol - it's really good with fettuccine. My favorite vegetable is green beans with garlic and butter - omg - delicious!
I've never heard about sweet corn fungus but from what I read it tastes similar to mushrooms and I love mushrooms. It would definitely be something to try. I even saw they sell it canned too - so it's definitely something new I learned today. I'll have to see if they carry it anywhere here - maybe a farmers market or a specialty market. I have to admit corn smut made me laugh π
I hope your day is going well β€οΈ
@WorriedMagpie
π I am feeling very good right now, thank you :)
π I have made some really good progress with my anxiety this week and fullfilled a childhood dream of being a librarian (voluntary)
π I'm not growing anything outside just yet but I have got some house plants! A boston fern, two different types of prayer plants a spider plant an aloe vera and one I can't remember the name of but it's basically unkillable!
π In my perfect garden I would grow vegetables and herbs for cooking! I'd also love some huge jungle type plants but it's too cold here really.
π I've not done much gardening really yet but I love being outside, watching the birds etc. I love seeing my houseplants grow and the rose out the front has had three seperate blooming sessions (there is probably a technical word for that!) this summer!
@fuzzyLemon
Hey lemon!πππ¦
Thanks so much answering all the questions, apologies it's taken a few days to reply! I hope the rest of your week was just as positive ππ
π€― Thats incredible! Ooh librarian lemon π€©π well done you! I'm so proud of you! π I hope your proud of yourself anxietys a mean oneπ how's it been going so far?
Honestly I've not made much head way in the garden either πOooh I love a good fern πΏ not heard of prayer plants before though I'll have to go look them up! What an awesome selection of leafy friends you've got π man I've killed so many spider plants, poor things π€£π€¦ you'll have to give me some tips! ππ
Yay we love a self sufficient garden ππΏ do you have a favourite veggie you'd try to grow? - :0 jungle plants! Like palm trees or ... Honestly now Im thinking I have no idea what grows in a jungle π€£π€¦
Being out in nature is so soothing even without the gardening bit totally agree there ππ¦ I love what you said about your roses - it feels like the plants grow up with you :D what type of rose is it? - blooming season sounds right to me! πππ¦
@WorriedMagpie thanks for the check-in!
3 - What are you growing right now ? :D
Strawberries, grapes, an apple ( lol yes only one it's the trees first year of fruit!)
4 - What would you grow in your perfect garden ?
Cherry trees so lots of blossom and Magnolia trees!
5 - What do you enjoy most about gardening?
Seeing things grow from nothing. Finding new plants.
A few weeks ago I needed some sticks for my peas to grow up and so I grabbed a couple from the compost heap, I stuck them in the ground and hung the peas over them and amazingly now they have started growing and they are grapes!!

@MistyMagic
Misty! Thanks so much for answering βΊοΈππ¦
Oh those are all like my favourite fruits! I'll have to come down to your garden one day ππ - never had much luck with strawberries the birds always get to then before me π€¦
ππβ¨ - gotta start somewhere! I bet it was a beautiful apple π how old is the tree? Im sure I heard somewhere fruit trees usually take a few years to start producing?
π₯° Cherry blossom is so so pretty, just wish it stuck around a bit longer! And magnolia π what a beautiful garden you'd have πΏπ¦
Wait what! You grew grapes by accident π€― what a happy accident! Have they needed much upkeep?
