❄️This past week was pretty much Status-quo... Last weekend was a pretty quiet & slow weekend.. And It was back to being pretty frigid here, so again, much time spent indoors... But I did manage to get out & get in my weekend morning Zumba classes both days, & stayed on Track with my meal-planning, tracking, workouts/activities throughout the week..

☃️ As the week started, We again had some Snow land here in our area, which caused some delays, cancellations & closings... However, thankfully my usual Group Fitness classes were still on, so I was able to stay on track. It was still great to see Snowfall here though for the 2nd time this year (again, it being 3 years ago when we last even got any here)... As the week went on, I did continue to deal with winter allergies, & I also had some aggravations & frustrations in dealing with some personal matters (that I'm still in the midst of working on & trying to work out.).... It definitely wasn't conducive to my week or my overall wellness & goals..... And It can really be frustrating when you have to try to clean up after other's responsibilities that didn't get done... So it was difficult during this last part of the week in trying to find a little (mental peace)....

❄️This weekend, while its still very frigid out, I started off by getting up & getting out for my regular morning Zumba class, then a few light errands.... And then will be celebrating a loved one's Birthday this weekend... Which will mean some celebration & Italian food.... I then have Sunday morning Zumba to start the week off on the right foot...

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I shaved. Tuesday I got my COVID card laminated and returned an item I ordered off of Amazon at Whole Foods. I hate going to new places as a chronic pain patient. Wednesday Sifa bought a new converter box so now I can watch TV. Spending a lot of time watching my Obama phone is really bad for my eyes.  Thursday I played chess with Leslie's adult son Tai. I won, of course. It's all in good fun. Friday my new house mate Greg and I got into a dispute over the volume of the TV. Leslie took Greg's side which is really unfair, but Sifa did a great job of mediating and came up with a solution that works for both of us.  I only went to the library once and went for a walk twice. For this upcoming week I have a doctor's appointment on Monday and a Therapy appointment with Jim on Thursday. The thing I like about Greg is he stays in the living room 24/7. That means I don't have to share a bedroom with him so that is great. 🙂🙂🙂 I hope I can start my Certificate of Achievement in Art History this October.

Hey Regmo, outside of a minor hiccup here or there, it sounds like overall you had a decent week for yourself… It’s good that despite having chronic pain that you were still able to accomplish a task that you don’t typically enjoy doing. And it’s great that things in the household seem to be well for the most part over the past week, between Sifa getting a new converter box so you can now watch tv, to getting to have some activity time playing chess with Tai, and Sifa helping to mediate a situation between you and the new person in the house that will work for you both… All positive experiences... And great job at getting out to the library as well as getting your walks in twice this week. It also sounds like you have a productive week ahead of you with your appts... Hopefully you will find it to be just as positive or better. Thanks for checking in this week to share with us. And please continue to let us know how things are moving along.

@PoliteOcean One thing I forgot to mention is that Leslie did a much better job of fixing breakfast than the previous week. She served me 3-4 slices of bacon for breakfast a total of 5 times over the course of two weeks. I told her if she is out of eggs to serve me a couple of slices of toast. She said she couldn't do that. Since she is a narcissist I don't know what her true motivation was.

@PoliteOcean One more thing I forgot to add is that starting this week Greg is going to start having medical appointments here at the house. He will probably have about 5 per week. People like his registered nurse, home health nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist and social worker. Ughhhhh. I know I'm not going to be notified in advance which is rude and inconsiderate. I remember when James was here he had 9 medical appointments in one week. It was very disruptive to my own sense of safety.  There was also the time when his physical therapist came over at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. 😡😡😡

Hey Everyone, Welcome to the weekend~... How is your day going so far?... How did the past week go for you?  I woke up an anxious as *** again.  I had a paper to write.  I wrote it, thank God.  I also have a "paper a day" to write for the same class.  It's not hard, just anxiety producing.  I still have to write that one.  I'm just feeling at my nerves end.  I also found out that I have an embarrassing problem that I can fix.  It will just take time.

☃️This is our "4TH & Final" Check-in for JANUARY~.... This past month truly flew by~ ... How do you feel this Month went for you overall?... poorly.  a place called my boss for a reference.  It turns out that they need someone to work Monday nights and that is non-negotiable for them.  I attend class on Monday nights.  It's mandatory for my school that students attend classes.  So that's the end of that.

❄️As we get ready to move into the next Month ahead, How do you feel that you are moving along in the goals that you set for yourself at the start of 2025?... How will you continue to approach your goals Or, do you intend to change or improve upon them as we move into the next Month ahead?... If so, in what ways?  I didn't make any firm goals for the reason that I didn't think I could keep them.

☃️JUST FOR FUN:.. With Winter Weather in Full-swing, which do you prefer to wear?... "Sweatshirts, SweatersOR Flannel Shirts"?!  I really don't like wearing any of them.  I don't like cold weather.

❄️What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!  Just one problem after another.  I'm just very depressed.  I'm just pushing through.

Hey Tree… Hopefully for you the anxieties were short lived after you were able to write your paper. And also in knowing it won’t be difficult to write the other one that’s left… as far as the embarrassing problem, (despite it taking some time), it’s good that you know that it’s something that you will be able to fix

That’s too bad and I’m sure also discouraging to find that your schedule doesn’t coincide with theirs… Perhaps you can think of it in the way that there’s a reason, and that something even better is inevitably approaching & on its way.

I don’t like cold weather either… but I’m definitely wearing something to stay warm in while we have to endure it… My preference is Sweatshirts, I have a million of them.

Despite feeling like you are loaded down with ongoing problems, whenever I feel that way, I allow myself to feel whatever I’m feeling, but then inevitably “try” to remember as well that I know for a fact that others have it much worse… And it definitely helps me see and find a better  perspective on things in my life… As it can be easy to become riddled with feelings of anxiety & depression, (& I was definitely pushed to a few of my own limits this past week), but it’s also a great thing to be able to keep pushing through them, and to know somewhere along the way that we will come out on the other side. We definitely gotta “keep on keeping on” as they say.

Thanks for checking in to share this week and keeping us updated. Hopefully you will get your next paper knocked out. Continue to let us know how things are going. ~

❄️Hey Everyone, Welcome to the weekend~... How is your day going so far?... Today is going good so far since I've only been up long enough to have my coffee and scroll this site a bit.....How did the past week go for you?  This past week has been status quo....Its been very cold most of the week....Most mornings in the negative temps....one day going to work it was negative 15....once the sun came up, only a couple of days out of the single digits but not above 20 degrees anytime this week....because of this, after work, I've been lazy at home but its been good for me because I've been having some struggles at work with my supervisor and the subordinates under me.....I'm kinda the middle man for some issues and it has taken a toll on me......

☃️This is our "4TH & Final" Check-in for JANUARY~.... This past month truly flew by~ ... How do you feel this Month went for you overall?... Overall, I feel the month has been ok....nothing major went wrong, but I really didn't excel or move forward in anything either....

❄️As we get ready to move into the next Month ahead, How do you feel that you are moving along in the goals that you set for yourself at the start of 2025?... I feel I have been stalling....I'm still doing a lot of reading and research on what I want to do, and how I'm going to do it, but I've not set anything in motion....I think that is more out of fear of leaving the comfort zone....How will you continue to approach your goals Or, do you intend to change or improve upon them as we move into the next Month ahead?... If so, in what ways? I think I just need to dig in and make a decision and just do what I plan to do.....being one that overthinks, ruminates, and catastrophizes most decisions and situations, the comfort zone plays a large roll....

☃️JUST FOR FUN:.. With Winter Weather in Full-swing, which do you prefer to wear?... "Sweatshirts, Sweaters, OR Flannel Shirts"?!  sweatshirts.....

☃️What is something that "YOU" want to Talk aboutAdd or Share with us this week?... WE want to hear from YOU~After being out of the military for 28 years, I decided to start using the VA for some medical things and hoping to connect them as being service related......My problem is that I never went to the doctor while in the military....it was just something you didn't do so documentation is scarce....I had my first appointment this week...it was more or less an interview and information gathering session from the rep....the main point I took away was "the worst they can say is the issue isn't service related"....it will be a long process, but I'm hoping things go my way....any little bit would be helpful....

Hey there Cycling~

That’s good that your day was off to a good start for you.. hopefully you found that it continued on that way.

The weather has definitely been frigid, (even in the south with lows in the teens, and highs below freezing temps, and the appearance of snow in places that have never seen it)... It can definitely bring on feelings of laziness & procrastination. Being the “middle-man” can certainly cause issues from both sides. So it sounds like being able to simply (be lazy as you say), & relax at home during this cold-spell has definitely been what you needed mentally.

It’s good that you are feeling ok about the month of January overall. And even better that nothing went wrong (despite feeling you didn’t excel or move forward in anything).. I would still take that as a positive win for the month!.. January is the starter month, & We have 11 more months of opportunity to continue to move forwards in anything that we are working towards… And it appears that you continuing to do just that by doing a lot of reading & research on what you want to do & how to proceed forwards... It can be easy to stay in our “comfort zones”, but once we continue to take more small steps outside of them, Is when we prove to ourselves just what we are capable of. And that the fears were inevitably for nothing.~

It’s funny that you should mention the military matter… My spouse has actually been out for 33yrs.. and is working towards those same things. And while yes it can be a process, (as he was never seen for anything while in there), it’s all finally coming together in the past year. He started the process himself about only 5 years ago (with very limited documentation as well)! .. So while you may find it frustrating at times, just keep plugging away!. And don’t hold back on anything that you are feeling or have gone through. The more detail the better! And anything that you were seen for that has caused you repeated issues, be sure to touch base with your physician about them. And let them know what you are working towards. And in the end remember there are lawyers who can always step in to help you fight for things and put that documentation together for you if need be… Also, there are also online support groups for Veterans if you have a F@ce-book account, where you can get help & support in what you are trying to accomplish there.. Please let us know how that continues to unfold for you. And again, just have patience with the process.

Thanks for checking in to share your week and keeping us updated. And Please continue to let us know how things are going for you.

@PoliteOcean

Thank you for the advice and support with the military stuff....I will look at the support groups you speak about but....I have been involved in a few veteran groups on social media and left them because I find there is more negativity in them than I care to read about, if that makes sense.  Maybe I was in the wrong groups.....I'll check it out though....Thanks again.....
