Daily reflection prompts!
Hello wonderful people and Happy New Year! I have an app called Calm that gives me daily reflection prompts and I would love to hear your stories and perspectives. I will be posting here every morning with the daily reflection prompt and my answer, and anyone is welcome to post their answer to the daily reflection prompt!
Today's reflection prompt is: What areas of your life can you approach with more openness this year?
My answer: My alters; listening to them and nurturing them. Paying attention to my needs and not overworking myself in school to avoid burnout. Forming healthy and secure attachments to friends. Spending lots of time on my hobbies and interests. Generally going with the flow more, not trying to resist so much. Spending time sitting with my feelings instead of immediately trying to push the unpleasant ones away.

Today's reflection prompt: Which worry can you set aside today?
My answer: The worry that people are going to leave me. I can set this worry aside by focusing on other things that keep me busy, for example, schoolwork and playing the Sims 4.
Today’s reflection prompt: How will you expand your awareness today?
My answer: By being aware and mindful of my feelings before reacting.
Today’s reflection prompt: Which self-care practices do you find nurturing?
My answer: Singing, spending time with friends, working on my hobbies, going for long walks, journaling.
Today’s reflection prompt: How do you work with strong emotions?
My answer: I sit with them and tolerate them and then I use my coping skills and remember the good times.
Today’s reflection prompt: What worries you most? How can you generate compassion here?
My answer: The thought of people leaving/abandoning me, I can generate compassion here by handling myself with self-respect and self-compassion.
Today’s reflection prompt: Who do you want to open your heart to? What holds you back?
My answer: Everyone in my life who supports and encourages me, as of now nothing holds me back because I show them how much I appreciate them.

My answer: Participating/engaging in DBT group, singing.
Today’s reflection prompt: List your unique qualities. How do you honor them?
Compassionate: praise and support myself and others
Articulate: write to express my feelings and experiences
Passionate: immerse myself in my hobbies and interests
