@du13

Hello there.. and Welcome to Healthy Living. We are happy to help support you in your efforts here in the community & at 7cups!
 We are proud of you for wanting to start your healthy living journey. And a great way to start is by taking small steps forwards!

Taking small steps will help in not allowing yourself to become too overwhelmed with things all at once. And small changes & small steps daily can add up to bigger ones over time.

We have many areas here at 7cups to help support your overall well-being. Whether it’s through our many “Group Support” chats, Here in the “Forums” or through personal “1-1 Chats” with one of our many listeners.

Healthy living goes together hand in hand by taking care of ourselves Mentally, Emotionally, Physically & otherwise.

As far as “Food”, taking small steps to make healthier “swaps” can help. Like choosing Fruit instead of candy, or by Drinking One cup of a water a day instead of a soda or juice. Or by adding a Whole grain food like Whole grain bread instead of “White” bread, Or adding in a healthy, crunchy vegetable instead of reaching for chips!
 Starting small and adding in smarter, healthier choices, day by day can help you to start forming better habits.

As far as benefiting from your day in a “Healthy” & practical way, you can do this by focusing on your Overall Wellbeing. Such as Incorporating healthier foods, Getting outside for Healthier movement & Sunshine (which also helps to improve our mood and mental health), and also by Keeping & forming Healthy relationships in your life. Practicing Gratitude, Mindfulness, Self Compassion, and having healthy bonds.

You can make friendships by getting out to places you enjoy, where you can meet others. You can meet others in Group Fitness classes, or outside at local Parks & Recreation, or local community centers etc
. And there’s also plenty of online support groups. (Such as here at 7cups)!

Either way we are here to support you & your efforts. And please feel free to take a look around our community here and familiarize yourself with our many wonderful & beneficial threads. And also take a look around to checkout our many wonderful forums & communities for extra added support!

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask or reach out. And best wishes to you!

Hi! Welcome!
 To start, you might explore practices like meditation, regular physical exercise, and a balanced diet. I suggest checking out YouTube channels like "The Mindful Movement" and podcasts like "The Happiness Lab." Additionally, join local groups or events to meet new people and make friends.

@du13Moderation is the most healthy thing both physically and mentally

 It's okay to have that sweet treat that you enjoy. It's all about keeping it in moderation and balancing it with healthier foods and correct portion sizes. Same with exercise, you don't need to run marathons but just some exercise that makes you keep active and feel good

 I think balance and moderation is the key to healthier living in all aspects

@du13 I suggest you listen to the album of rina sawayama "hold the girl" it's very interesting because it helps you heal your inner child and work on your past trauma and it also encourages self love
