Almost 2 liters in today

decisiveBranch2794 October 14th

Hey everyone, today was a real struggle for me wow. My plan was 4-5 liters today, I made it to almost two. Remembering that my healing journey may not be / isn't always linear... Lots of deep emotions surfacing that I've been supressing almost my entire life wow.

Being tender and gentle with myself today as I navigate this deeper healing for my long term well-being. I love myself and if I only ever again have 1 friend in this entire world, I want that one friend to be me.

Grateful for the almost 2 liters today ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒน grateful for my self compassion ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒน grateful for my courage to heal ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ ๐ŸŒน and efforts to heal ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒน

@decisiveBranch2794 Good luck on your healing journey! Please keep in mind that you don't need more than 1.5-2 litres of liquid per day (juice, soup, etc also count as liquid). Drinking too much water can be dangerous (there is a condition called water intoxication AKA hyponatremia).ย

@Karina2012

This is good information, however the body is also made up of mostly water. Therefore โ€œsoupsโ€ & things like that donโ€™t count towards daily intake.ย

Generally speaking we should aim for 64oz daily at a minimum. But general rule of thumb is to drink at least half our body weight in ounces. If someone is 300lbs, 64oz (or 2-ish liters), would not be enough to meet their overall need.ย

However all of this information is as well dependent on any possible medical conditions & restrictionsโ€ฆ.. As well if the person is athletic and participating in sports &/or working out & sweating a lot. Or lives in an hot & humid climate (thereby needing more intake)โ€ฆ Everyone is different therefore needs would be different as well.ย

Hi @Karina2012 Thank you ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜€

Actually I read about that in my nutrition class in college. It was happening to a lot of runners during long distance marathons and the advice for them to hydrate in the specific amounts prescribed that unfortunately and sadly ended their lives -was advice from a doctor belief it or not. There are certain conditions that pose hydration as a literal threat. I trust I'm not in that category, however I can revisit the information just to be sure. Plus I'm listening to my body and I read literature on indigenous healing practices and and healing wisdom. ๐Ÿ’–

Ty for the concern๐ŸŒน And for me, so far so good. As PoliteOcean said, we are predominantly water. 50% of our weight in ounces is usually recommended for those of us on a healing protocol. It works wonders in a good way ๐ŸŒน Thanks again @PoliteOcean for chiming in. And I agree 100% too - everybody's body is different ๐Ÿ’–
