Heey, Zumba lovers! :) For practicing Zumba, do you go to a local gym or use some phone apps? If it's the latter option, which ones?

I have been an instructor of Zumba and Zumba Gold for 5 years now, and there are so many ways to do it! I am not so tech savvy so I use DVD's and of course the CD's that come with instructor's packs- but you can get those online too. A lot of folkks love the wii format, but I haven't personally tried that since I don't watch TV. I go to a gym class that another instructor leads too. I like gym classes for the energy of the group- gets you more escited, motivated and almost always Laughing!! have fun anyway you salsa.cumbia,hiphop,regaee,flaminca and any other dance you toss in the mix.

@MusicCandy

This is great! I'd go to the gym but my main problem is time. That's why I prefer youtube for trainings and so on. If you know a specific site or app that has a lot of Zumba trainings, we'd love to see it.

@happyDreamer23 Hello! :) I love Zumba. Sometimes, I take classes with friends. ( I found it very helpful to have workout buddies. We motivate and sort of "monitor" each other, to help you keep on track.) But since we have volatile schedules, we skip a lot of classes so what we do most of the time is to meet in 1 friend's place, download and watch Zumba videos and follow them. I hope this helps. smiley

Yes, it really helps. Thanks! If you had any recommendation regarding where we should download the videos, I'd be happy to hear it.

Hi Dreamer! I have also been a ZUMBA Instructor for 5 years.... I teach almost every format of it from Regular to Toning, to Aqua Zumba etc... I have tried many classes, and the dvds etc... I find that the "Live" action-packed classes are the best, and the most motivating!....Just feeding off the energy of the Music, and all the people in class. Theres just no other feeling like when it comes to "exercising". The best thing to me about it, is that to me, its not really exercise. ITS FUN! Once that music comes on thats it. I have never tried the apps though.

Also, we as instructors advertise our classes on Zumba.com If you are looking to find a class in your area. You don't necessarily have to go to a gym setting to enjoy!.... I have taught in a gym, in a community center and also in a Dance-Fitness Studio. In addition, since I teach different formats (including Aqua Zumba as well) I also have taught at local Pools......... So if you arent the type that wants to visit a gym, or don't like the gym, its always nicer to find other classes that may teach in other locations. There are even those who teach in Church basements!.... So you can pretty much get your Zumba-"Fix" in many different locations! once again, just look up Zumba.com and type in your country/zip code/ or location. smiley

Yes, as instructors we get "Dvd's" as apart of our Zumba Membership with many routines/music etc.... However, I have probably used YOUTUBE as my "go-to" for finding great videos. Especially if I want a video or routine for a particular song. So try Youtube

Usually, I go to the recreation center at my school to do Zumba. However, when I don't have time to go to the recreation center, I do Zumba in my room.

Here are a few Zumba video links:
