Ladies, how do you honestly work out on your period
Honestly, I’ve done a lot of research on cycle syncing and the nutrition required at different phases of the menstrual cycle. I’m still confused and always demotivated to move during my period, although the motivation is also bad in the week or so leading up to my period. I’ve also made the mistake of being rigid about the same workout over and over but then avoid it when it seems daunting or I’m feeling bad. What are some tips people have for getting motivated and moving past those excuses?

Hey there!...Great questions.
I think its awesome that you have done your own research....
Typically, if its that time of the month for a female, it can sometimes be challenging to workout. Due to the many hormonal changes that can happen within the body. Some motivating tips could be to:
First, simply do what is best for "You" and "Your body". Because nobody knows better than you how your body feels or what it is capable of.
Next, I would suggest to really evaluate those feelings. Are you not wanting to workout during that time because you are truly feeling Tired and in pain? Or simply because its just a de-motivating factor for you? If that is the case, then "Challenge yourself"! By adding something 'Simple and Fun'! Exercise doesn't have to be complex (especially during this time). Simple stretches, light walking, Yoga, or Pilates can help during that time. And not to mention can possibly 'HELP' with the way you are feeling. By relieving "pain, cramping, headaches" etc..etc..And be sure to get your "Water" in as well. To help you stay "hydrated" during these times. We can lose alot of fluid during this time of the month. And water and staying hydrated can help with the ease of these symptoms!
Lastly, I always suggest to anyone, when it comes to working out... FIND SOMETHING YOU "ENJOY"! And it will NEVER feel like work!.... What things do you like or enjoy? If you like to walk, then change up your scenery! Find a new place to walk. Do you have a pet dog? Then grab their leash and simply let them walk "You"!... Do you like "Light activities like Yoga? Then find a great Youtube video that incorporates Yoga from your bed, a chair, or the alike. And simply do those stretches and poses to help elongate your muscles, help with balance, help center you and put you in a good place for the day!...... Do you like to DANCE?! Then try out a ZUMBA class!... Zumba is an AMAZING workout! And so much fun. And there are SOOO many Zumba routines on Youtube that you can look up and follow. Or... if you have access (depending on the Covid situation in your area) Try a Group fitness class! That helps keep you accountable by being surrounded by other like-minded people with the same goals and interests!.... Or if you have a friend or relative, then ask them to come along with you for a walk. Or Simply grab your headphones and some Great music! And go walking! If you walk at least 3 songs that is already 10 minutes!!... If you walk 6 songs, that is already 20 minutes! Before you know it, the time will fly by!
Last but not least, we are here to support you in any way that we can. And are here for you if you have any questions! Best of luck to you!
