Healthy Living (Share your Tips)
Hi everyone, I just joined, and I write a blog about "Transitioning to a Healthier Lifestyle". Let me know any tips or ideas you have on simple ways to cut unhealthy habits and to live a healthier and more active lifestyle.
Tip #1: start cutting down on fast food stops. I know it's quick and easy, but it's very unhealthy. Pack an apple, banana, or granola bar to hold you over until you can get something healthier!!

Hello and welcome to our Healthy Living Forum here at 7cups. I’m Ocean the Community Mentor Leader. And thank you for sharing your post with our community.
As far as “Tips”, the main & simplest one that I like to share with those who are just beginning their healthy living journey is to “START SIMPLE”!
Starting simple means taking smaller steps day by day & little by little that can inevitably add up to even bigger ones over time.…. And “Simple” can start with just swapping out small things. Or adding a few moments of exercise daily & then gradually building up upon that.
⭐️Swaps: Swap a cup of juice or soda each day for a cup of water instead. And then build on that each day by increasing…. Or swap a crunchy less healthier snack option for crunchy carrots or celery with a bit of hummus or peanut butter…. And again, build upon that.
⭐️Exercise/Activity: Get up & incorporate simple movements or stretches during commercial breaks…. Or Take a walk around your home or around the block with 3 of your favorite songs on an iPod (3 songs is equal to about 10 minutes)! Or even a podcast?! … Then gradually build up your time by adding in more.
⭐️ACCOUNTABILITY: Asking for help or advice from either a trained professional or even incorporating Family or Friends can help keep you accountable in your new healthier lifestyle!
Simple starts like this can help even the most unmotivated person in doing more for their health. And helps in making it seem a lot less overwhelming!

These are great ways to start simple. I truly believe that most people set unrealistic goals to start, which is why starting small and simple is so important.....building up from the easy things.....

Thank you for sharing. Packing healthy snacks is a great, easy, way to start cutting out junk food.
@ExistPure Hello!
Some of the things I like to do is clean my surroundings. Keeping my environment clean helps me stay motivated in keeping up healthy habits.
Another thing I like to do is start my morning with a high protein breakfast. It keeps me full longer and it reduces my cravings during the day which stops me from buying food at work.
