**AND ANY & ALL "NEWBIES" THAT WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH US
⭐The past week was standard as I got back on track with the first full week of January~... Last weekend was cold & dreary, so was spent taking down all the Holiday decorations & getting my home back in order... I also got back on track with my weekend classes, (which included a New Sunday early afternoon class!), as well as meal-planning/tracking, & back to my January goals.
🎈 This past week has also been pretty cold & at times pretty frigid... So No outdoor time for me or the Furbaby... But after THREE years, we actually & finally got some SNOW on Friday!... It was really nice to see it (for a little while) after so long.... Being able to start off the week on Sunday with a new class was a good starting point to set the tone for the rest of the week (especially after being in the Holiday-Zone for the prior 2 weeks).. While also keeping up with my other regular Classes.... And fortunately after the incident with another member last week at one of my facilities (that left me a little emotionally shaken), they were not there this week, so I had No issues upon my return!... So I'm glad that I reported it at least, so that I can continue to feel comfortable in knowing that I can return as needed without future concern~
💪 This weekend ahead due to the Snow we got here in the South, Everything was either delayed, pre-cancelled, or closed (at Least on Friday & Saturday)... So therefore No morning classes on either day (Which always means digging deep to find the motivation to "motivate myself" to get started at home instead).... But once I get started, the motivation & energy are always soon & quick to follow!... Hopefully will get the chance to also get back outdoors & run a few quick errands, as well as enjoy a few good movies in the evenings as we get ready for the week ahead~

My goals for 2025 is to develop healthy relationships with people, this means that I needs to achieve open communication, trust people and open up again.
I'm planning to sleep my 7 hours this month as self care (hides the clock since its almost 1am...)

Wow I absolutely LOVE these goals that you have made for yourself!
I can totally relate in wanting to develop healthier relationships with others. And I think you are focusing on some great steps to make that happen (in achieving open communication & trusting others) so that you can in fact do that going forward!
And I also know how so very important it is to get in and meet our Sleep goals! Sleep is so very important for our entire overall wellbeing physically, mentally and emotionally!…So Excellent self care goal that you are setting for yourself there this month! (And I too am jumping on that bandwagon with you because mine is getting away from me as well)! 😬
Keep up the great work that you are doing and getting ready to put in for yourself this month! And no doubt 2025 will be an amazing year for you!!

Hey Everyone, Welcome to the weekend~... We made it through the First full & complete week of 2025... How did the past week go for you?!... What are your weekend plans ahead? Well, my heart is in pieces because of the fires in LA. I used to live there, and am just crying for the poor animals roaming the streets. Some of them may be burned and in pain. I wish I could take them all in. Please pray for them.
I'm still in talks with lawyers.

This past week I fell off the weight watchers wagon, but I'm getting up on it again.
⭐JUST FOR FUN:.. What is One thing that You Want More of OR Would Like to see more of for yourself in 2025?! Ummm, losing weight, finding a good job, doing well in school...ummmm more money....having more conversations with God.....ummmm working out, meditating....I could go on
🎈What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?! Well, one law firm was very interested in my case but then ended up referring me to another firm. So I had a disappointment but then the thought of another chance. (shrugs) There is nothing I can do but to push through and keep going.

I know.. those poor furbabies 😢…. And everything going on out there… It’s devastating for them. My heart and prayers continue for them as well.
That’s good that you are still in talks with the lawyers (& possibly getting ready to make some type of headway there soon), while you also wait on and anticipate your upcoming classes.
Sorry to hear that you are struggling with your weight loss journey. But every good step forward that you make counts. So one day at a time there. That’s all you can do… I follow Weight Watchers as well! It’s a wonderful plan to help keep you on track and accountable. And they have so many new Zero point foods. So maybe just focus on getting in those healthier (more top tier quality foods like fruits veggies and proteins), while focusing on small “step goals” for movement (to not overwhelm yourself too much).
Ha! I love all of your focuses and goals for 2025! I can certainly relate to them all! (Even the schooling, as I’m looking at furthering more of my fitness education)…..But when there’s a will there’s a way. And you are a strong person! So keep going! You’ve got this!
It sounds like you are holding steady this year so far and continuing to push through to all the things that you are working for and towards. Keep up the great work and efforts Tree.. and no doubt it will all continue to come together for you!

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Sunday my last batch of free supplements arrived. I went to the library 4 times but 3 times I had to get printouts of various documents. I really hate that. I need to use my library time for reading. I went for a walk 4 times. Wednesday and Thursday Leslie fed me 4 slices of bacon for breakfast. Bacon is terrible food for healthy people let alone for sick people. Thursday I won $4 in the lottery. That's a 100 percent profit. Leslie still has her grandchildren come over. It is extremely inappropriate. It causes me a lot of emotional distress. Friday I went grocery shopping and used the self-check out. Friday night Leslie and Amanda were yakking for 90 minutes after I had gone to bed. I'm extremely proud of myself. Saturday afternoon I told Sifa that Stuart abused me. It was a total God moment. He said he would talk to him about it. I would never tell Leslie that. It's Leslie's and Sifa's job to protect me from residents who abuse me. I'm trying to read "Jude the Obscure" by Thomas Hardy. I have a complete reading list for 2025. Leslie and Sifa are scammers and frauds.

Hey Regmo~ That’s great that you were able to get out and about to the library (despite having to use some of that time other than reading).. But it’s excellent that you were also able to get your walks in.. That itself says that your weather is also cooperative where you are! (Unlike here).. So keep up the great work. 👟💪🏼👍🏼…. I sure hope that Leslie gave you more than just 4 slices of bacon for bfast?!… That’s terrible if that’s all you had to eat. Congrats on the $4 lottery win (rollin’ in the big bucks 😉)… That would drive me a little nutty too listening to too much chatter, yakking, and noise as well (especially if I’m trying to go to bed).. I can understand how & why it would cause you to feel the emotional distress that it has. And I’m sure you’d like to say something about it all , but can also understand you not wanting to put yourself in that position to have to do so…. Great job to you on taking small steps and doing things such as using the self checkout. Keep up the great work there. And good job to you on being able to talk to Sifa about Stuart. That’s another great step for you in being able to speak up for yourself. Hopefully he will follow through and have that talk with him, especially if it is in fact their job to intervene!… And good luck to you as well on completing your 2025 reading list! It sounds like you have made many great steps for yourself this week. Continue to keep up the great work & efforts. feel like I'm a little stuck right now, in somewhat of a shallow rut in
my life....spinning my wheels, not gaining any traction and not going
anywhere, if that makes sense....despite that, this past week was ok for me but hard for my girlfriend, (they placed her mother on hospice Friday) and I hated it for her. I did my best to help support her but it was still hard for me to see her like that.....What are your weekend plans ahead? I'm a little late to the post and the weekend is over. I spent the last weekend helping my girlfriend get things ready for her mom to come home today.

do you feel that you've been doing so far in the goals or intentions
that you have set for yourself at the start of the New Year?!.... I feel like I'm doing ok keeping up with the things that I wanted to accomplish this year....Choosing to start small with SMART goals really makes a difference, especially when having "down" days or feeling stuck like I am....its not so overwhelming having the small stuff to work on.....Where would you like to see the MOST positive change for yourself in 2025?! The most positive change for myself in 2025, that I would like to see, is my attitude toward gratitude in life, to the point where I really enjoy living the life I have....while I say I am grateful for things in life, I still have a hard time being truly grateful if that makes sense....I always find a "but" in all the good things in my life, a bad to go with the good, which causes unhappiness and I need to find a way to change that.
January is recognized as "Self Care Month"... In What way or ways were you able to incorporate some selfcare time for yourself this past week?!....My self care this past week consisted of a lot of stretching and mobility exercises and drills for my workouts and thats about it.....I really don't have a "self care" routine and think I probably should come up with one..... What is Something that you could focus on for Selfcare for the remainder of this Month?!..I can focus on coming up with a daily self care routine.... I think what you are stating makes complete & total sense (speaking from personal experience).. Despite those feelings that’s good that your week was ok for you. And so sorry to hear about your girlfriend’s mother... As a Nurse who has also worked with hospice patients, I can imagine what a challenging time it’s been for her… (and for you as you continue to support her through it all). But I hope that she can take some personal comfort in knowing that Hospice will do whatever they can to ensure her mother gets the love, attention, & care that she needs.~
That’s great that you are continuing to keep up with the tasks that you set out to accomplish for yourself so far in 2025… And choosing to start off Small definitely makes a difference in not getting overwhelmed with things too quickly by taking smaller steps. I’ve always tried to implement in others to “start small”.. one day & one step at a time. Those smaller steps will inevitably add up to larger ones in your journey!
Also, focusing on positive changes by having an “attitude of gratitude” over things in your life, will enable you to see those positive changes & aspects that much sooner for yourself. (While Also appreciating your life’s journey along the way).
I think that your stretching & mobility exercises definitely accounts for some selfcare time… it’s allowing your body to slow down and enjoy & appreciate more mindful motion & movement. Which we ALL definitely need and should be doing for ourselves… So even if you’d rather be doing something different, good job to you for you for sticking to it & following through! And know that you truly are doing something great for yourself.. And keep up the great work & effort you are putting in (while in turn, you come up with another self care idea to focus on as we continue through the month)!
Also thank you for the kind words of appreciation! I love and enjoy reading over everyone’s week and seeing how everyone is doing in their goals, intentions, and lives in general... I think we can all continue to gain from one another, support, and learn from each other.. while also continuing to be inspired in some small way as we continue to learn more about ourselves in the process! And I’m so glad you find the check-ins beneficial if even in some small way for yourself!

I helped my mom as I did her chores and my own, last week as she had
a temporary job. I got good sleep. (Last few days I have been facing
nightmares.)

are your weekend plans ahead?
I am doing research for finding a better place to help with his
health issues. The location we are at really limits us. I also have
been meditating and coloring.

I want my family in a
better place with local jobs, nice neighbors and more room for my
brother's health issues. Last year, we got denied on a few places and
I have been fighting things (I feel like I am not good enough to get
us a place. However I have had more than a handful of people to tell
me to walk away as I have done more than most people.)
I also want to be able to see my long distance boyfriend.

⭐JUST FOR FUN:.. What is One thing that You Want More of OR Would Like to see more of for yourself in 2025?! I want to find a way to make my own money. I have been my brother's caregiver so long that I need something for me.
?What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?! My biggest challenge is the waiting game..

It sounds like despite any challenges, that overall you are trying to do your best for yourself & your family.
It’s great that you are there and able to help your mom & your brother when needed. Just try to remember that you are only one person and can’t do everything for everybody all the time... And that you also have to make sure that your wellness is taken care of too. So it’s definitely wonderful that you were able to focus on yourself and get good sleep despite the nightmares..
And also wonderful that you have been taking the time to meditate, color, cut back on sugar and increasing your protein, and trying to get out to walk more (despite not being a fan of colder weather)!! Awesome job to you there and keep up the amazing work that you are doing!👍🏼
We hope that 2025 produces better living situations for you & your family, as well as a way to make new and better money & income for yourself! And you are right about needing something for yourself as we all deserve to have that!
