What are you doing to utilize your time during lockdown/ self-isolation?
I know it isn't an easy time for anyone and all feeling stressed and challenged. But to stay safe, this is only option available to all of us right now.
So, What are you doing to utilize your time during lockdown/ self-isolation?
I'm working from home through the week, so I have things to keep me busy M-F during the day. On weekends, lots of playtime with my husband and daughter - board games, getting out in our yard (so grateful for a big yard!), waving at neighbours, and looking at new recipes and challenges (gotta figure out sourdough, and what to make with instant yeast). Spring is coming more and more, and I'm thinking about my vegetable garden a little bit as the snow melts.
I'm also doing counselling and am glad for phone appointments, and am working on making more time for meditation and self-care.
I do miss hugs and chatting with people, and having people over now and then.
All in all, I know the importance of physical distancing, and we're grateful for video and phone connections with family and friends.
Sketching, relaxing, working on my thesis, watching television and just having fun. I always thought being an introvert was negative, but look how the tables have turned!
I have a ton of free movies on Fire TV Stick as I have recently jailbroken it. So, I watch many movies and TV shows. Also I surf the Internet, cook, read books and play games.
Well I became a listener because I'm available all the time. I cook and just appreciate the things in general that we never do like the nature or the usual food and the sun rays falling through a window and then I started meditate and reading novels. :)
@frenchfriesandgoodvibes- thank you for being a listener- very crucial during these times.
Wishing i was gone
@HappyDucky8 I'm feeling the same as you, that's why I got this app. Do you wanna talk about it?
@brightTree818
theres not much to say is th ere. The chat rooms are full of people bashing people like me
@brightTree818- noticed you reached out to another member- hope you are doing better three weeks later. It was kind of you to offer an ear.
I've been keeping busy with work, various written assignments for my internship, reading, watching videos online, doing workouts from home, and just today started watching 2 different series on Netflix. Netflix streaming is a slippery slope as you can end up watching one episode after another, one show after another. Although it is an entertaining way to make the time go by...
Oh, and cleaning...I've started to do some cleaning as well. It isn't without its moments of loneliness and frustration though...
@easyWillow9407
I'm literally doing similar stuff as you lol, glad to hear that you're doing fine. Take care!
@ASilentObserver
I've been taking a ton of online classes to use this time to learn some things like photoshop and creative writing that I usually don't have time to devote time to :)
I have registered as a listener in 2016 but never really got time to take this seriously.
I've been listening a lot recently and it feels soo good when someone appreciates me for listening out. They say how much they needed it and boy it makes my day.
This lockdown has made me realize how important this community is to the world.
And I'm going to make time for listening even after this lockdown ends.
@chrn- congrats for being a listener- especially during this stressful time for humanity.
I've mostly been crafting....
Started my internship here and doing some online courses.
