I heard from many that they see the 7Cups logo as a broken cup. If you think the same, you are not alone. When I joined, I also thought the same. But looking it often, I came up with the interesting findings and its meaning.

Before I share how I see it now. I am curious to find how you view it and what does it mean from your perspective?

We look forward to reading your analysis. Purple heart

@ASilentObserver I feel like the 7 Cups logo stands for acceptance. In a world where we are shunned for our mental illnesses, 7 Cups offers a place of light and kindness. I do see a "chipped" cup but you can still fill it up all the way to the top with empathy and warmth. The 7 Cups logo represents myelf and every other person who belongs to this site. We are perfectly imperfect!

@ASilentObserver The logo looks like a teacup that is slightly chipped at the top.

@Probius But, I also just realized that it looks like there is a quote bubble inside the teacup.

I see the logo as a tea cup with a chip on the side of it!

@JennMarie2

But to me, the chip represents that the cup has a flaw, as all of us do, but it is still very functional and still has a lot of use left in it, as we all do as human beings <3

Just like most people here, I just now realised it's a thought or chat bubble! My listener was recently telling me about it, but I was unable to understand what he was trying to tell and then he said, "forget it", so I did, until now, lol! Now I see what he was saying!

However, I wanna say when I saw it as a broken cup, not only did it remind me of the imperfection & character that it probably stands for, but also, a quote by Leonard Cohen that says, "There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in!" 😌

Well I know they tried to make it look like a speech bubble. But I think they should fill the broken part with gold or silver and the rim of the cup would be gold or silver too.

Because in Japanese culture they fix cracks on tea cups, tea pots, and plates with gold. It is symbolic for how the broken are golden*.

When we overcome pain we are better for it, because we have conquered despite the fact we were once broken.

We didn't stay broken. We became even better.

I thought it was a tea cup with a chip in it. And thought it was symbolic of the people who come here. Like we're broken or missing a piece, but by working together/getting help, we can become whole.

7 cups of tea is a zen poetry. Just like this poem there's a type of Japanese Art known as Kinstugi
