Become a Discussion Leader / Co-Leader!!
In this post, Id like to talk about one of the initiatives we were discussing in the past weeks and ready to Start Now.
Host support sessions in the community
Community moderators hosting regular support sessions on different topics to support the community. Now, it is your opportunity to host/co-host the support sessions, guided discussions or fun sessions.
The goal of this initiative is to have more supportive discussions on varied topics to ensure all discuss, learn, support and have fun together.
Basic criteria to host or co-host a support session or discussion-
- Leading discussions open to all listeners who meet the following requirements
- Verified Listener Badge
- Sparkler badge (20 member group chats)
- Members able to lead discussions if they meet the following criteria:
- No newbie badge
- Friendly Face badge (Group Chats - 100 + Compassion Hearts - 300)
All listeners and members require a mod present when they are leading given that they are not a mod themselves.
If you meet the above criteria, fill the Expression of Interest form here! We will reach out to you to discuss further.

Great post. How does one apply for these badges:
Conversationalist badge for completing 4+ discussions
Oprah badge for completing 12+ discussions
Community Builder badge for completing 24+ discussions
Guiding Spirit badge for completing 100+ discussions
@azuladragon34 You need to apply for those in your impact page, scroll down under all your badgse and you should have a space to apply. then apply for the ones that you have enough discussions, they will check if you really led this number of discussions and reward you the badge if so. if you are unsure of number of discussions you have, you can message ASilentObserver so they can look for you
@vivelespatates
Ok. Thing is only the Oprah badge shows up. Not the others
What are the duties when you lead them? Do you copy and paste from a script/resource from the mods? Or create the session yourself?
@Skyy0 you will have the discussion scripts and both mods and you can coordinate to post questions one by one and have a supportive discussions.
@ASilentObserver
I'm definitely interested! Hopefully I get a message from you guys, soon
