LGBTQ+, Disability & Trauma Rooms
Hey everyone!
Following the changes made to the rooms recently, we have updates on our Trauma, Disability and LGBTQ+ chatrooms.
We know these rooms particularly need a safe space and that it is difficult to navigate our regular rooms before or now. We have been working on an update and are ready to roll it out!
To gain access to these rooms, you will need to make a request here. There are no additional requirements for members however listeners will need to have the Active Listening Level 1 certificate found on this page. This means they will need to have taken the Listener Oath, 10 steps on their Growth Path and have had Five 1-1 Chats with members. The accounts will then be checked for behavior history as well as multiple accounts.
If all is good, you will receive the Support Key badge which will give you access to the chatrooms. We will try to have these processed as quickly as possible however ask for your patience in the beginning while we work it out.
How will new users know to make a request for access?
We will ask the Subcommunity leader to make this visible in there forum areas as well as include it in check ins. Any users who seek support in these topics in the Support Room or Community room will be sent the link to this post and welcome to request access
What happens if someone violates guidelines and chatroom rules?
We want these spaces to remain safe. This means if community guidelines are violated or any disruptions occur, the badge will be removed and the user will lose access to the rooms.
If you have any questions feel free to share and we will answer them as best we can. I hope that this will help improve the quality of support we can provide and that we can continue to move forward as a community.
Thank you to all of you who have been open minded and who continue to make this a community we can all be proud of!
Come on,everybody. We will help everyone!
Question I filled out form and made I had the badges. How do know if have access to the rooms. It was frustrating to have the disability room. Open and I having no access.
@lazyKatz I have suffered a lot when it come to relationships and even when I was married
(Edited by @River to remove the advertising content)
@Josemiracle77
Hello I have edited your post to remove the advertising content as it doesnt go according to forum guidelines, I hope you wont mind.
I am still not able to get into the rooms only 2 :(
I think this thread needs more coverage, to be honest. Every single time I log in (and I do mean every single time) the LGBTQ room is empty.
Can't say much for the Disability room as I rarely use it.
@TheMadQueen420 where's the disability room
@Lollywood
You have to request a ticket to join it or something from what I remember.
Ok @TheMadQueen420
@Lollywood you need to fill in the application form to get the support key badge
@CaringBrit
And where's the application?
@CarefulPlum56 here click the following link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfd1_8WhqY7Ik1XNnvwactZ5kfbeFHPHfrJVaOVIfSWRPOLnQ/viewform
@TheMadQueen420 I put in a request to join, these rooms need more coverage so more peopel are informed.
@TheMadQueen420
Sadly 1 and a half years later the fate of the rooms is unchanged :(
Is this the forum? (Sorry, I'm new to 7cups)
@Orphie so am I
I don't know how to tell my parents that my boyfriend is trans. im terrified that theyll disown me or his (abusive) parents will find out.
@wittyMoon4825
first off - you don't need to explain yousef; it is your life. you can do whatever you want.
but - if you scared, write a letter and give it to your parents explaining how you feel.
it will give them time to process things, so they dont freak out.
but do NOT ever let any one tell you how to feel. ever.
stand up for yourself, and be proud.
@wittyMoon4825 take a deep breath and remember that you are not obligated to tell them your boyfriend must decide
Hello
Hi, im kinda new but... well... I had a kinda bad day...
Im kind of a weird kid; heterocromania, genderfluid but with mostly feminine and nonbinary genders and somehow also lesbian, so I have been recieving small harassment like being pushed into locker doors, locked in with chairs on the toilet, people throwing stuff at me, and some rude comments about my eyes...
But today, one of my bullies caught me talking to myself and he, of course, told everybody! So now everyone thinks Im crazy or something and I dont know what to do!
I am really sorry to hear that, I hope it is getting better for you, let us know please@Bugglan
Please someone tell me how ro join the disability room?
