Thank you to...

ZaraSmiles August 30th, 2015

The brilliant Gratitude Challenge post by @Roadie sparked this idea, why not have a thread dedicated to thanking others!

You can use this thread to thank anyone, whether it be a community member here on the Cups or someone who's impacted you in real life! There's no limits to gratitude so you can thank them for anything at all, from their awesome existence or to their kind words making you smile -- and everything in between!

So, come on, let's go and start the gratitude flowing around this thread!

**I am always thankful and greatful to many for many different things and reasons... However I'm most thankful to God and my Husband for being as righteous and a supportive person as he is. And for always being there and taking care of me no matter what is going on in his day.

**And also my mom, for being my mom and being there for me and my family even now that I am grown.

**Also for supportive family members and friends who continue to be supportive even though we are miles apart.

**And of course @Laura, @Heather for giving me such amazing opportunities here at 7cups!

**And last always thankful for all the past things and future things that I will have to be thankful and blessed for.

I'd like to thank my Poppy (grandfather), for he has been my councilor, my teacher, my best friend, and above all, someone I could always go to for a hug. He has Alzheimer's now, and I don't know if I waited too long to thank him.....

@WhatIzLove21

Never feel that you have waited too long.... Love the ones you can while they are still here to love. I have had relatives that have suffered this as well, in addition to being a nurse, I have cared for those with this. I know what it is like. Even if you don't think he hears you , or understand him, perhaps you could talk to him and tell him anyway how you feel. Underneath that condition, is still your "Poppy'~ He'll still hear you wink

I'm taking a moment to express my gratitude for my cousin, Lisa (also best friend:)). She is the only person in my life that's never ever gets tired of hearing how crummy I'm feeling or how stressed out I am. She never ever makes me feel guilty or blames me for what I cannot do. If she comes down for a visit and I'm having fibromyalgia flare up and I'm stuck in bed, while I'm sitting there feeling incredibly guilty, she's constantly reminding me that I did not choose this nor can I choose when I feel crummy! So she'll just sit in bed with me all weekend and we chat and watch movies eat munchies and have a great time anyway. I do not know what I would do without her.

I would like to thank @srslysd for being supportive and understanding my situation

I want to thank my father for beating some sense into me, literally. Making me a stronger person and allowing me to learn what it means to forgive. I want to thank my ex fiance for teaching me what it means to truly love someone with all your being and hold nothing back. I want to thank my mother for calling me all of the worse names you can call a daughter and putting me down so I could only be more determined to prove her wrong and be the opposite. I want to thank my best friend for being the sister and role model I never had in my life and teaching me self respect and responsibility and telling me those things I needed to hear and to never make excuses in life. I want to thank my dog Zoey for always making me smile each day and never allowing me to be too sad and making me get my butt out of bed and take him walking every day. I want to thank the compassionate doctors and therapists that relentlessly helped me find the right medication and treatments that have helped saved my life.

And to certain individuals here a 7Cups, a place that opened my mind and gave me a new perspective and outlook on people the world and made me not feel alone in my struggles and taught me compassion and selflessness I want to thank....

@Johnny20 , a great friend here and someone who has helped changed me but also changed my heart, made me less of a cold, conceited, and cynical person and showed me that being generous and selfless should be a automatic way of our being and we should never expect anything back. That the greatest thing we can achieve in our lives is how much of a difference we make in the lives of others.

@Letmehelpyou210 , a angel and someone I look up to and admire. A person of great strength, enthusiasm, energy, passion, a love for life, a love of giving, and a gift of making people smile, and those around her better and inspired. She is like a sister to me and probably the kindest, sweetest person in the world.

@Rodcounsellor , my first Listener and a brilliant one at that. Helped me through a very dark and uncertain time in my life and also encouraged me to become a listener.

@thedeaningoflife , The Sunshine Sheriff. A friend with a great sense of humor, a positive arch on everything, and no matter what the situation or how bad im feeling he always finds a silver lining. Always funny and such a nice guy. He may be tough on the outside but he has a mushy middle. :P

@Jaceofspades , I believe she is the heart and soul of 7Cups of tea. The epitome of what this site is all about. A person I admire. Caring, compassionate, empathetic, a fighter, and a leader.

@Kash216 , firstly thanks for coming back. lol. But also thanks for just being someone so deeply sweet, caring, and encouraging soul. Someone very articulate and understanding who has overcame a lot and who I relate to and has shown me and many here how to go through even the toughest darkest times with strength, dignity, beauty, and grace.

And lastly I thank myself for never giving up, even when there was nothing I wanted to do more than to quit.

I thank you for just being you. It was always a pleasure to be your Listener and to be there for you. No one cares about you more than I. And I cannot express how so very proud I am of you. You have grown in so many ways since the first time we met. It is astonishing but not surprising. I knew you always had it within you. I cannot tell you how proud I am of you young lady. Keep strong!
