how do you achieve happiness even when you feel upset?

hi friends!
when i feel upset, i do little things that make me happy. even when time is tight, i would dedicate 30 minutes for self-care. i go for a walk to get my favorite drink, i watch my favorite shows, i take a nap, i daydream. just thinking about these makes me happy!
what about you? (:

@haphapz If I have the motivation, I try to do something productive. That includes cleaning, writing, choreographing, making a new recipe, and planning a trip.
If I'm not at the stage where I have motivation, I just try doing something that takes my mind off of unhappy thoughts. Usually that means playing with my pets, watching my favorite TV shows, taking a nap, or getting some fresh air.

Hi, @starrydevany! Thank you for sharing and responding to this thread! I do agree with what you said about planning trips! It somehow also brings me happiness when I'm upset because I have something to look forward to! Writing is also a helpful way of enhancing happiness! <3 Stay lovely!

Lots of self care and being mindful, getting more in touch with the world and looking for the positives. :)
@Peachsicle hello!! thank you for replying to this thread, i really appreciate it <3 i share the same sentiments as you too!! i think dedicating time to rejuvenate ourselves is vital - to see the positive in every difficult situations. that's just awesome!! (:

@haphapz Heyyy, you're welcome! I think so too. :)

I normally read or listen to music sometimes I watch something with comedy in it and that will immediately make me forget why I was upset. It's always a great thing to have your own happy place where only you go when you are upset. ☺

When I feel upset, I listening to music.

I achieve happiness by the following thing:
~saying positive things to myself
~I try to never lose hope
~By thinking about my life goals
~By distracting myself from negative thoughts by singing, reading and helping people
~By doing productive things
~By talking about my feelings with my close friends or my psychologist
~By taking good care of myself.

Depending on the type of upset I am feeling, I have different things I do to care for myself. My first thing I do is to try to remember that they way I am feeling is temporary, and ok (I essentially take a step towards mindfulness and recognize it without judging it). If that doesn't help me enough, sometimes I will take a walk, take a warm shower (if I can), do some yoga, write poems, journal or something else. I tend to be very self-aware (I am thankful for that) and know what I need to do to get me back on track, so I just do what I feel would be most effective in the situation.

controlling what i can, listening to music, writing my novel. watching bad reality tv and working on path at 7 Cups that makes me feel productive

A minute for myself and time to sleep and eat properly. I was happier then. Trying to achieve that again someday.@haphapz

I read. I love being able to make myself someone else so I can forget about how I feel for a while
