Who is your comfort character?

We all have that book, movie, TV show, etc. character that always makes us happy or who we really relate to! Who is yours? :)

I...well I have a lot, but the top three are Loki, Wanda Maximoff, and the Doctor [from Dr. Who]

I really understand Loki's position and why he did the things he did. He's in kind of a duo limbo. He's the youngest and in some aspects he's treated as the youngest, yet at the same time there's this dynamic where he tries to prove himself and act older, the core root of that being a lack of validation. I really understand that.

As for Wanda, well imao, like her I tend to build my own ideal reality for myself, as she did with Westview, and I feel negative emotions and loss deeply

Now in regards to the Doctor, he's a comfort character because we're similar in certain behaviors. I can be absent minded, I have a tendency to explain something at 90 miles per hour. And also like him, I love being the 'help-line' [although sadly, I'm not as good at it as he is], and...when I think that someone has wronged me in some way I usually never trust them again, just as he never trusts the Daleks.

I love the depth and complexity in Loki and Wanda's characters, too. Like they're labelled as "villains" and while they've done bad things you need to see the whole picture and it really puts into perspective the need to see both sides in real life. Love your pick!

I wasn't really talking about the depth and complexity of their characters, more so the traits I have in common with them but yes, I agree, it's important to look at the whole picture and set aside the bias of 'good' or 'bad' before deciding to label someone's actions, although granted some people have selfish motives and malicious intent.

Regardless, it's important to understand that we only see in people what we want to see, or what they want to show you, and it's the same thing-we only see in ourselves what we want to see in ourselves.

My comfort character is Charlie Brown (Peanuts) the gentle, innocent, kind-hearted kid, who is afraid to feel happy.
