I try to remember happy memories with people, even if I've lost them to end of life.

I talk to a friend. We have a little thing we do. I will talk to them, "I am in a bad mood. I'm going to tell you about it. I need to vent/problem solve/just have you balance me with positive." Depending on what I'm looking for out of the conversation. Sometimes I just need to vent to feel better, sometimes problem solving helps, and sometimes them balancing me helps a lot.

I try to journal, right now I'm hunting down a good app for it.

I play my games, usually of the cozy variety. I pretend I'm a farmer (Stardew Valley, Roots of Pacha), a stylist (Infinity Nikki).

I buy myself a silly little treat. (Right now it's Cats vs Pickles, little blind bags.)

I reorganize my room, or put things away. A cleaner room helps me feel better.

I write down some bullet points of things I want to discuss with my therapist or psychiatrist. All to often I get to the appointments and my brain just blanks, and I'm like, "I'm good, no problems here, can I leave now?"

And the second I walk out I realize I forgot all my struggles I needed to discuss. So bullet points help.

I hope some of these helps you!

I forgot to add, I'll also make plans. Easy ones that are manageable even if I'm depressed. If I know it'll be better by the weekend (Thursday/Friday is bad, but it hasn't been most of the week, so it's reasonable to assume I'll feel better by Saturday) I might plan a zoo trip. If I know I'll still be down by the weekend (long week, been bad all week), I'll just plan for a junk food/snacks day with my favorite TV show and some games.

If I'm unsure, I'll make tentative plans. For example, "If I'm feeling better, zoo time. If I still feel bad, games night."

I constantly watch my thoughts, Like a guard dog! When I catch myself thinking negatively I talk out loud to myself and say positive affirmations. One of my favorites is "everything is always working out for me." Saying this makes me look for the positives In any situation...because there always is at least one.

Another one of my new favorites is "how can it get better than this?"

@wakeupandbeblessed look into the mirror and admire yourself, have positive affirmations, think that you deserve this, and you deserve more.

When I feel down, I usually read a good book or sing my heart out or vent.

It’s really hard for me to stay positive but I try to get away from the things that make me annoyed and stressed out and take a break and try to handle my emotions.

Hope this helps 🤗

@wakeupandbeblessed

For all of the negative thoughts that plague me ( an overthinker with anxiety) I go to the gym.

I take it out on the weights and leave happier than when I arrived.
