Group Support Program: Weekly Progress Report
Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. Weekly progress reports are a way for trainees to reflect on their progress, and share their ups and downs. It is also an opportunity for you to bond with fellow trainees and for mentors to have greater visibility.
In Group Support Program, we have been using a form-based report, in other programs we have experimented with forum progress reports and have decided to do the same for GSP.
Moving forward, GSP trainees will use this thread to report weekly progress on the program.
You can use these questions to help guide you with your answers but do note these are optional. The important part is that you need to participate in this thread at least once a week.
What progress have you made towards completing your Group Support Program?
What challenges have you faced?
@Hope and @ASilentObserver
week 2 check in:
I always seem to want to post my check ins on the weekend vs. Mondays for some reason.
My first two weeks went by really quickly. I am due to submit the two week trial form on Monday and it’s already on my calendar. In my first two weeks, I have hosted 2 listener check ins and a listener sharing circle. I have never hosted a listener sharing circle so I experienced something new! If I have time tomorrow, I may host a pop up listener check in. I have also completed 43 listener chats and 17 group support chats. I have also almost completed my short project. The first two weeks have been fun and exhilarating and I have really enjoyed being more active in the member community room and getting to know some of the members better.
My biggest challenge this week was someone sharing personal things in a listener sharing circle and not knowing the best way to redirect them and not wanting to interrupt their share.

What progress have you made towards completing your Group Support Program?
I've been hosting both teen and adult topic discussions for listeners. I've found it to be great this week. Both discussions were active and it felt good to be able to host the discussions. I also hosted two ED Discussions, though they aren't part of my program as I'm focusing on listeners.
What challenges have you faced?
I'm wondering how to get the word out earlier for the listener discussions - like a thread post possibly? I'd love to see more join in.
@KristenHR
i love your idea of getting the word out earlier about discussions!
