GLDD: Introduce yourself here!
Welcome to Group Leadership Dynamics & Development Program!
I am excited and glad to have you with us. We are here with you to provide all support and guidance during your learning journey. This has been something we believe helps you get a better understanding of group dynamics. Please find the course description below.
It focuses on the communication and leadership behavior of individuals within group structures. The theoretical and practical knowledge are used to explore the stages of group development, decision-making techniques, group dynamics, group problem and solving, group leadership skills, cultural sensitivity, norms, and interpersonal dynamics within groups.
Please also introduce yourself and let us (if you are comfortable) where you are from and your personality type.
If you do not know your personality type, you can take a quiz here to know it! Share the one strength that you think will help you out in becoming an effective group specialist.
Please remember, you are unique and have personal strengths and gifts that set you apart from others but you can utilize them to gather all and support them in a unique way that others might not even imagine of. You have that strength and personal gift. All you need to identify, acknowledge, amplify, and deliberately use them every day to strengthen yourself to provide support and strength to others.
It will not only allow you to successfully complete this program but also help you to progress and grow on your personal and professional fronts too. You are taking a significant step towards learning and creating a difference.
Best wishes for your learning journey!!
Please note: In order to successfully complete the program, you must respond to this post. Your comment/response should answer the questions/show that you completed the given activity (if any). Start your learning journey with Discussion 01: Introduction to Group Support, then check here!

Hello everyone my name is Donald Kirby. I will be starting this program tomorrow but I wanted to get a Headstart. I mean Monday not tomorrow but anyway I wanted to get a Headstart I hope that's OK hopefully I don't get in trouble.
As obviously you know my name is Donald K start with this question one on Monday.
However I was born with cerebral palsy. I was clinically dead at birth. The cord wrapped around my neck prior to birth. I was without oxygen for 10 to 15 minutes. I have lived everywhere pretty much but I was born in Florida. I currently reside in Ohio hopefully that's OK to say I won't put the city.
I have been with 7 cups for a long time from 2018 or maybe 16 sorry till 2023. I needed to take a mental break I wasn't ready for 7 cups. However at the beginning of this year I got tired of being used by people that I thought I could trust so I learned to stand up for myself.
You see with my disability it was because Dr. screwed up when I was born therefore if people find out about how my life works they get used to it and then they start asking for help financially. I know it's my job to say no however it's so hard.
However like I said that changed at the beginning of this year I was talking to someone who promised so many different things that she loved me for me etc. etc. etc. Come to find out that was never her intention she only saw me as a friend but she didn't want to lose the help she had. It took me seven months to realize how she was.
So why did I choose Group discussion development?
I chose it because I knew that I wanted to help groups. Specifically but not limited to disability support. One of the other groups that I wanna help with is depression because I suffer with depression myself. Anyway I'm sorry to give you a book to read😊 to the form starter of this topic sorry I started a little early. I hope that's OK. My fairy old AMA still exist but if you wanna ask me anything. Feel free to do so.
Donald I'm looking forward to my six week training!

Hello, I am Hope
I am INFJ-T, Advocate.
My greatest strength I believe is being insightful for I love to seek the deeper meaning of something, the actual reason of what or why something is this way or why it turned that way, so even with people, I try to understand them of why are they the way they are and so forth.

Hello my name is M and my personality type is INFJ-T advocate.
I’ve lately been getting this result most of the time and also reading about it I feel I’m most affiliated with this because I’ve always been someone who can appreciate and listen to stories. and focusing on the work behind the creations. I think given also how I was raised, how I’ve thought of myself disconnected, I try to make sense of what we see and think and how other things create and reciprocate. How we can bridge more barriers as to both respect something completely different and see where they’re coming from.
