Quick Way to Calm Yourself Down
Hey everyone, I've recently joined 7 cups, and my first thought was to share this deep breathing pattern to quickly calm you down if you're ever in a situation like that. My friend shared this with me, and it's worked every single time I've used it. Here it is:
Breathe in, breathe out. Name 1 thing you taste.
Breathe in, breathe out. Name 2 things you smell.
Breathe in, breathe out. Name 3 things you hear.
Breathe in, breathe out. Name 4 things you can touch.
Breathe in, breathe out. Name 5 things you see.

This is a very useful technique thank you for sharing this! Finding a way to calm yourself down is useful to not allow our anger to get in the best of making our actions which may potentially do more harm than help in the long run. It's good to be able to find level-headedness before going about a conflict!
