Happy thanksgiving: A gratitude note for you!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. This is a time for reflection, appreciation, and acknowledging the blessings that surround us. But it is also important to remember that holidays can be a difficult time for some and to extend kindness and understanding to those who may be struggling.
I know and understand that many of us experienced many challenges and struggles, and yet, despite the difficulties, our community has continued to support and uplift one another. I have been witnessing how everyone comes together in Sharing Circle, Depression Support, Exploration Garden, and other group chats to offer compassionate and caring support, encouragement, and empowerment to each other. Similarly, in various forum threads, many support each other through comforting words and discussions. That speaks volumes of the compassion and care you all bring to the community. I am grateful for the incredible sense of belonging that you all foster. It is a place where we can come together, share our joys, and find solace in our sorrows. Each one of you contributes to the tapestry of our community, and your presence makes a difference.
The holiday season is often associated with joy and warmth, but it can also be a stark reminder of loss, loneliness, or difficult memories. So, let us be mindful of those who may be silently struggling, and extend a hand of empathy and understanding. A simple act of kindness can go a long way in brightening someone's day. Sometimes, it is the smallest gestures that have the power to make the biggest impact.
So, I invite you to take a moment to reflect on the blessings in your life, no matter how big or small they may seem. Express your gratitude not only for the good times but also for the lessons learned during the difficult moments. Let us remember that even in the face of adversity, there is always something to be thankful for.
Finally, I am grateful for the resilience and strength that each of you brings to our community. Your unwavering support, kindness, and empathy have made this community a safe haven for all. Let us continue to uplift and inspire one another, not just during the holiday season, but every day.

Aww what a beautiful, heart- warming note, Obziee, thank youuu for sharing and for always going above and beyond in making this community feel as home-like as possible. You're an awesome hooman and I'm ever so grateful for you too!❤
I'm grateful for *life*~ I like to remind myself of this often. More like how we need to repeat things so brain understands and doesn't forget easily lol. "Yassss, you are grateful. Don't feel it currently? It's fine, but you still are and you should be, there's no questioning that for you." Haha, I got that tough-love equation with myself sometimes! xD
No but really, grateful for life, love ones and everything else in between. Grateful for things that work out and things that didn't, these are humbling experiences that remind us there's more to the world than us wanting/achieving/getting that X thing/ goal we have, could be anything really.
Grateful for the happy times, and grateful for the not so happy times because personally, I'm a big time believer that to truly know and savor what "happy" feels like, you've got to have the taste of what "not-happy" feels like. Other wise it'll all be the same and monotony ain't fun!
Grateful for this feeling, of being able to feel gratitude, it's difficult, to be honest, specially when you're hardwired to focus on the things you lack and the gaps you're still needed to fill, when someone is always doing better than you, when you're not where you wanted to be etc. I feel, we (most people anyway) focus more on what we don't have/ didn't receive, and then to actually sit down and feel grateful for what we have, and what we did receive, so much without even asking, without actually doing something to "get" that, is a humbling experience for me.
I looooveee this quote on gratitude, "I was complaining that I had no shoes till I met a man with no feet." and it puts me in place always. Less complaining, more accepting, embracing, honoring, celebrating and sharing! ❤
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, super grateful to each one of you. You've brought so much joy and added so much life to my life, not even exaggerating. Sending love and light to everyone! ❤

@Sunisshiningandsoareyou Thank you for sharing your thoughts on gratitude, Sun. You are appreciated and we are all grateful to you for your support, care and encouragement to all of us. You have a healthy perspective on appreciating both the good and bad times. Focusing on what we do have rather than what we lack can definitely bring a sense of balance and gratitude. The quote you shared is a great reminder to be mindful of our blessings. Thank you for reminding us that <#

Thank you for this kind post Obs. Thank you for being here and all the work you do we see but also all the work you see in the background! 🙏
There are many things in my life I am grateful for and those are the things I remind myself off when feeling down. Some of them are having had a medical team years ago who saved my life, air to breathe, water to drink, home and of course a second home called 7cups. 💚
@amiablePeace77 Thank you Ami. I am glad you have these things to be grateful for. We are all also grateful to you for your support and guidance to us through your helpful and guiding mindfulness checkins and other support threads and discussions. They give us a common ground to come together and practice some moments of reflection and compassion together. <3
