@ladyofborders Are you doing opposition research for Santa? π
@FlatenedByLife Lol no
It just seems like the other thread died out so I went and made another one
@ladyofborders By creating a new thread you know youβre invoking the Dr. Seuss phenomenon.
I do not like Christmas in the air. I do not like it in thread here or thread there. I do not like it anywhere.Β
So come all ye faithful far and wide and join with Grinch in Christmas chide.Β
Or rather be a Who from Whoville. Be a Who like Cindy Lou. And whether from thread there or here be sure to spread the Christmas cheer.Β
Now a headache Iβve given you dear. Not to worry Santaβs bringing πΊ beer Β
@FlatenedByLife

Youβre definitely not the only one. I personally donβt mind it but there are a lot of people who find this time of year very difficult for a large variety of reasons.
@ladyofborders Definitely not. For many years Christmas, to me, has been something to endure & ignore as best I can, not to enjoy.
I've more than one reason for that. The most compelling one is that while I've never been a Christian & am not too religious generally, I would have more respect for the holiday if the focus was on what it's supposed to be: the birth of Jesus.
It is not supposed to be full of mall Santas, massive sales of products that were marked up before the "sale" began, etc. Christmas was about the coming of Jesus & all the claims associated with that. The real tradition died a long time ago.
