Sleep

I just wish I could sleep, however as soon as my head hits the pillow my brain decides to replay every bad, scary, regrettable things I’ve ever done. Every night is the same. I’m just tired of always being sick and tired. I’m on sleeping pills but I need to take 3x my dose just to fall over and then that just cause me to have horrible nightmares. I never thought at 37 I would feel this tired, vulnerable and just so empty

@MummyMumMotherMam1 seems like you're really struggling lately... it affects our overall wellbeing when there's lack of good sleep or enough sleep :(

did you see a doctor for it? maybe they have some suggestions for it ... hope the 3x meds don't have any side effects ... it's scary :( please take care <3 I hope you get rest soon

I hope that you are feeling a bit better now. I also have insomnia but I only take my dose. Just hang in there! Never give up.

@MummyMumMotherMam1 I really hope you're able to get some sleep soon. I can understand and imagine how exhausting it might be to not be able to get good rest.

@MummyMumMotherMam1

Sorry you're struggling with this. My sleep was all messed up for a few weeks (couldn't settle down, woke up multiple times and couldn't get back to sleep).

I had my first night of good sleep two days ago, after visiting a really good friend in person and having a lot of fun. Hadn't seen them in years.

When I'm on my good habits, I've found it's really important for me to get exposure to direct sunlight as early as I can. Exercise, even just walking, helps regulate my sleep, too. And having at least an hour of wind-down time helps me, too: dimming the lights and doing something that doesn't involve electronics, preferably something tactile like wood carving.

I've had poor sleep my whole life (bad habits developed during an impossible academic schedule growing up). This last year I really focused on my sleep and found I naturally wake up with energy and motivation when my sleep's on track. As someone with decades-long depression, it was a revelation. So I definitely sympathize with what it feels like to have poor sleep.

I hope you are able to find some relief soon.

Hey there,

I hope things are getting better by the day. If you ever need anyone to chat with, I am here! I feel like a doctor is the best person to consult this with.

Thanks everyone for your concerns. I’ve struggled with insomnia for years now. A good nights sleep is around 4 hours straight. My doctors want to offer me anti psychotic meds which I really don’t want to take. I have started meeting with a CBT so hopefully this will help on more of a long term basis.

thank you all. Hope everyone’s doing well. ❤️

@MummyMumMotherMam1

Please take care of yourself.

Know that you are not alone in this.

You have these problems, i have other problems that's eating me up.

But in 7 cups we are all together and we'll make it through. Just need to hang tight.
